What Guests Are Saying
East Fork offers a beautiful campground with large, spacious sites and stunning lake views, making it a relaxing destination for visitors. The staff is friendly and accommodating, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, some sites require maintenance, including pad repairs and restroom cleanliness, and the lack of full hookups may be a drawback for longer stays. Overall, many guests appreciate the natural setting and plan to return despite minor issues.

Although not having full hookups requires extra work to stay the couple of weeks allowed and 10am - 10pm car access sometimes makes life a little more challenging with morning workouts and family get togethers, this is still our favorite place to stay when we come to visit family in Dallas. It has just the right number of trees and green grass everywhere and SPACE from neighbors. It has a rural feel but with the city right there. Water pressure is great, 50 AMP reliable and fairly level sites (although #26 presented some challenges) and they have a dump station right at the entrance of the park which we used once a week to dump tanks (using a bladder). Camp hosts are all the sweetest kindest and most reliable people you could wish for. Thank you for many great stays!

Hosts were very friendly and accommodating however, sites were a mud pit. Rained one week before we arrived. Sunk my trailer to the axels. Had to get moved to a different site. All sites had a tree however branches protruded into pad area. Had to drive on grass to avoid damaging trailer while backing in. Dump station is outside park and a real hassle since there are no full hook ups. Would not recommend.

This is a pleasant place, with views of the lake and big campsites, but there are loads of spiders inside the electrical boxes and the bathrooms are prehistoric. The Army Corps needs to put some resources into the campground to rehab The office & restrooms and clean it up some all around.

They need to have a gate code. You enter the park after 10pm or before 10am. Makes it very difficult to enjoy time outside the park. It also needs more showers. Has plenty of bathrooms. Otherwise everything was good. Nice lake views.

The grounds were clean and the utilities at our assigned camp area worked well. The common toilets and showers need repair and maintenance though. We enjoyed walking around the lake area and the area seemed safe and secure so no worries at night.

I originally had a 2 week reserve, but because of weather between the camp and Detroit I was unable to get home. The staff worked with me to add an additional 2 weeks. Love the security and curfew.
