What Guests Are Saying

East Fork offers a beautiful campground with large, spacious sites and stunning lake views, making it a relaxing destination for visitors. The staff is friendly and accommodating, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, some sites require maintenance, including pad repairs and restroom cleanliness, and the lack of full hookups may be a drawback for longer stays. Overall, many guests appreciate the natural setting and plan to return despite minor issues.

Great place to relax & enjoy the few of the lake. Reason for not being an excellent place is needs some work on the roads. Other than that it’s a very nice place.

The place is great except for the roads. There are pot holes every where! Even before you get to the guard shack. If they fixed the roads then this place would be excellent. It’s quiet and very peaceful.

Last minute Memorial Day camping trip and this was the only campground that had any openings. In my opinion this site is not very well maintained. The grass area at the camp sites was overgrown (some people brought their own lawn mowers, but they may have been hosts, but still!). Roads in very poor condition, pot holes everywhere. My son was trying to miss a pot hole and hit a speed limit sign and broke his side view mirror as well as a nice long scratch down the side of his truck :( ! Not really a beach area for the kids to swim but the bathrooms were kept clean in the midst of Covid-19. I wouldn't recommend this park unless its a last resort. The staff was very pleasant though.

The roads leading into East Fork are some of the roughest we've seen. The speed limit was irrelevant, as we could only go 20 mph in some places due to the extremely deep rutting in the asphalt. This road is about 5 years beyond needing to be resurfaced

Once in the park, the roads are still deeply rutted and potholes are everywhere. Some were as much as 8" deep, so be very careful when navigating to your site. The grass was trimmed, and the staff were all very friendly.

We started out in Site 18, which was nice, but on the back side of the hill from the lake. The second day there we had a power failure on one leg of our 50 amp service. That meant only one of our AC units would run on the limited power from the remaining circuit. The friendly staff quickly allowed us to move to Site 37, which had a much better view of the lake. Again, very nice people.

The park was busy, and lots of people used the day area for family gatherings. There was lots of kids playing and laughing, and everyone behaved well. The local PD patrolled every couple of hours, and we felt very safe at all times.

Overall, I like these COE parks. The only real negative on this one was the horrible roads leading into the park, and the potholes and eroding shoulders upon entering the gate and randomly through the campground. Two stars off for that, but one extra star for the friendly staff manning the gate. It definitely needs a little sprucing up, but we had a good time. Total: 4/5 stars

I had a tent site reserved, yet the gate leading to the tent loop was closed and locked. It didn't take long to see why... the road was impassable. So, my option was to park far from my site and trek everything in and out. Before I did that, I trekked to my site. Most of the sites were exposed to full sun.
The grill wasn't in good order. I was the only camper on the entire tent loop and it just felt weird, so I decided to scrap my overnight stay. I walked back to my car and checked out a day-use site where I could prepare dinner, and then head back home. Those roads were pretty bad too, but the grills at the day-use sites were even worse than at my campsite. Most didn't even have the grill (grate) installed. Most of the steel drums were disintegrating. Overall, I think this location just stopped trying. I was disappointed and can't see myself going back.

Nice place no shade but over the table. Fire ants are a big problem here. Be careful!!!

It was ok. The roads were terrible coming into the campground and were just as bad in the campground. The bathrooms were clean. The grounds needed to be mowed, but it wasn’t horrible. Would probably go again because our kids live in the area. They did have 50 amp service and water so that was nice.
