What Guests Are Saying
East Fork offers a beautiful campground with large, spacious sites and stunning lake views, making it a relaxing destination for visitors. The staff is friendly and accommodating, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, some sites require maintenance, including pad repairs and restroom cleanliness, and the lack of full hookups may be a drawback for longer stays. Overall, many guests appreciate the natural setting and plan to return despite minor issues.

Campground was clean and quiet. Bathrooms were pretty clean. Roads are full of potholes, so drive carefully. No playground, even though one is marked on the map. Friendly staff.

Very nice park staff by super helpful volunteers. Corps needs to fix roads into park and within park.
Our time here includes covid-19 shelter in place, Corps after a rough start is allowing campers in the park to stay for the duration. Very important as state and commercial parks are closing leaving no place for many to go. Many thanks to Corps

I enjoyed my experience at this park! The park is clean and the people at the entrance gate are very nice and extremely helpful. The grounds are maintained and they had people upgrading one of the restrooms. The reason it did not get 5 stars is the roads at the entrance and around the park need some serious repairs! especially at the entrance!!

Quiet location. Surprising since it is close to a railroad yard but only heard two short train whistles over three days. Bathrooms were suitable and fairly recently remodeled. Seemed most spots are pretty level. Only real downside is the streets. Horrible condition. Have they heard of pothole repair?

East Fork Texas is run by the Army Corp of Engineers. It reflects poorly on this department of the service.
The road to and through the park is in severe need of maintenance. The potholes are so large that vehicles have been damaged trying to drive through the park. The campsites are most have not received the necessary maintenance. Fire grills are rusted, broken and lying on the ground. Shelters are leaking and picnic tables are unsafe to sit on.
This would be a lovely place if the funds could be freed for maintenance.
As it is now it is hardly worth the $30.00/night fee that is charged.

Great park when considering that it is located in a major metropolitan area and yet still has a rural-lake feel.
Level sites, good power.
A nice COE campground.
