Campground was kept clean and maintained. Host was great, always available and driving their cart around. Only complaint, dump station is to far away and unkepted, and no water pressure at dump station.

When we arrived at the entrance of the park the staff would not let us in the park until 2:00 pm for the camp site. So, we had to wait 2 hours outside the park until 2:00. We were very disappointed that we could not enter and just walk around before 2:00. Once we got in and went to the campsite all was good. The camp host was very helpful, and the area is beautiful.

Pine Valley is beautiful! The equestrian sites are spread out which makes it nice for some privacy. Most sites have just one corral, which makes it hard when you travel with friends. The camp host, Lawrence , has been very helpful transporting water. The spigots are far from the corals and at this time you cannot hook up a hose. That is tough with this warm weather and all of the water horses need.

We couldn't spend much time outside because of the Mosquitos and bugs!

This is a popular place but we were able to find some places away from everyone. We loved our campsite although the upper ones are not labeled correctly on the map. 19 & 20 should be switched. It said they are handicapped accessible but not by much. In the evening there was a camper running its gas generator and smelling up the whole place. Other than that things were good. We will definitely return. It is much cooler than in St George so you should be prepared with a jacket. Depending on your location you might want to have extra shade handy.

Pine Valley Recreation Area is a hidden gem with multiple campgrounds located in Southern Utah. We made a reservation and camped at the Yellow Pine Campground at the beginning of July. Despite the high temp reaching 90 degrees F, the overall weather was nice! Night time temps dipped a little bit lower than the weather forecast, so it's good to be prepared for a 10-degree difference. This campground has a restroom and running water. Additionally, the wonderful campground hosts who work in this area keep the campgrounds very clean and well-kept. I would recommend this area for outdoor enthusiasts!
