What Guests Are Saying
Moosehorn offers a stunning lake and beautiful surroundings, making it a favorite for families who enjoy fishing and outdoor activities. While the campground shows signs of disrepair, with issues like broken benches and maintenance concerns in the bathrooms, the friendly and helpful camp host significantly enhances the experience. Visitors appreciate the scenic beauty and are eager to return, despite some challenges with site conditions and amenities.

The view was amazing - our site was right on the lake. Be prepared for all kinds of weather and quick weather changes. It was a cool day and quickly changed to snow (which continued overnight and resulted in an inch!) It was August - which is a bit early.

We love Moosehorn, our favorite, most relaxing place to spend a week. Wish they would get the incamp water system up and working again but other than that we love it. It's beautiful and queit.

Nice campground, beautiful lake. We walked across the street and did the Fehr Lake hike, then paddled our kayaks in Moosehorn lake. Our site (#6) was kind of slopey and near the main road, but it was booked last minute. Still a great spot. Bathrooms and campground in general were very clean, and the camp host was friendly. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

We stayed at Moosehorn CG for 2 nights. We were in site #14. The campsite was clean and the entire campground looked clean and well-kept. We were disappointed to find the camp site was very slanted and uneven, making it difficult for my wife to navigate. It is a single site that had 3 small areas where a tent could be pitched. One of our tents is a 10x10. None of the areas were large enough to accommodate it. We ended up putting it on the parking pad, then parked our vehicles next to it. There are large rocks planted all through the campsite which are in the way and presented a tripping hazard. The table is also slanted, making anything round roll off. There was a nice fire pit, but no grate provided nor was there a raised barbecue station. The fire pit is quite close to the table. If anyone in your party has issues with balance or difficulty walking, this site is not the one for you. Most of the sites in this camp ground are the same - rocky and hilly. The lake is beautiful and we enjoyed our time fishing there. As of Aug. 2020, there was an abundance of fallen trees that are available to use for fire wood. There were good things about the site too - there are trees all around and the chipmunks and Clark Nut Cracker birds are happy to visit the camp. Our grandkids had a great time feeding them peanuts and grapes. The camp host was nice and was very watchful of what was going on in the campground.

This is a great campsite- we stayed at site 13. The best sites are along the lake, so get your reservation in early. When we canβt get a lakeside site we go for site 13. We enjoyed our time and our camp host was very helpful.
