Forest Service needs to do some restroom repairs that are overdue! Otherwise, the campground host Lee is the best campground host I’ve ever experienced. He is extremely helpful and friendly, along with keeping the campsites clean ( especially those that were not left so by thoughtless campers) and the restrooms that are functioning properly are always clean and well stocked. The only reason I didn’t give it a perfect score is due to restrooms that are in need of repair and that has not been done by the Forest Service or their vendor.

Camp hosts do an excellent job of keeping the campground and facilities clean. Reserved campsite was ready and posted for our arrival.

Only one of three restrooms open due weather (April) with near freezing temperatures at night. No water available. Camp sites are nice with fire pit, picnic table and covered metal awning.

From Vernal, Utah, take U.S. 191 north for 47 miles. Turn off U.S. 191 just north of Dutch John onto Forest Road 075. Travel east about 3 miles to the campground.
From Manila, Utah, take Highway 44 for 28 miles. Turn left on U.S. 191 and go north for about 11 miles. Turn off U.S. 191 just north of Dutch John onto Forest Road 075 and go east about 3 miles to the campground.
From Rock Springs, Wyoming, take I-80 west toward Green River about 6 miles to the junction with U.S. 191/Flaming Gorge Road. Take U.S. 191 south for about 62 miles to Dutch John. Turn off U.S. 191 just north of Dutch John onto Forest Road 075 and go east about 3 miles to the campground.

Those desiring to use facilities in Flaming Gorge outside the campground will need to purchase a Recreational Use Pass from camp hosts, local businesses, or the Forest Service. A daily pass is $5, a seven day pass is $15, and an annual pass is $35. All passes are per vehicle. |

The single site fee covers the cost of 1 vehicle. Each single site's maximum capacity is 2 vehicles. There will be an extra vehicle fee for the second vehicle collected on site. 2 vehicles = 1 sleeping unit (trailer, pop-up, pickup camper, RV, etc) + 1 passenger vehicle or 2 passenger vehicles. There is not room for 2 sleeping units. |
