About Dripping Springs Campground (UT)

Dripping Springs Campground is situated at an elevation of 6,000 feet in rolling high desert terrain near Flaming Gorge Reservoir. The campground is part of the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area in the Ashley National Forest. Campers frequent Dripping Springs for its close proximity to the Green River and Little Hole, both of which offer excellent rafting and world-class fishing opportunities.

Only one vault toilet was open and the water spigots were turned off. I expected that if the campground is open the facilities would be available. The sites are great, well spaced and really convenient for fishing the Green.

Stayed one night in Group camp 3. The group camp next to us, and right next to the camp host, was up past midnight yelling screaming and playing loud music. None of us got any sleep that night. I guess the camp host just doesn't give a Fxxx. We will never go back.

I always enjoy staying at Dripping Springs campground, but this visit exceeded my ususal expectations. I had an issue with my camper and the camp hosts, Lori and Skeeter went over and above to help me. They were efficient and kind, and I am so incredibly grateful for both of them. Thank you again for all that you did to help me!

The sites were nice, but with no trees or anything really separating sites it was a very loud campground. If you want peace and quiet you might want to look elsewhere. Quiet hours seemed to be more a suggestion that a rule.

The campground was quiet and centrally located. The restrooms did need some maintenance and the host seemed confused about what site we were at, however the campground was nice. The Tent pad was level and the tables have a permanent cover which was very nice.

This campground is a rip off. In total, I paid $54 for two nights. I left after one night. When I arrived, very late in the afternoon, my camp was full of trash. I had to pick it up myself. The campground was loud as some drunk idiot sang late into the night, and nothing was done about it. You could literally hear someone toot from the other side of the campground at night as it is wide open with nothing to block sounds. I hated the campground.

Those desiring to use facilities in Flaming Gorge outside the campground will need to purchase a Recreational Use Pass from camp hosts, local businesses, or the Forest Service. A daily pass is $5, a seven day pass is $15, and an annual pass is $35. All passes are per vehicle.

The single site fee covers the cost of 1 vehicle. Each single site's maximum capacity is 2 vehicles. There will be an extra vehicle fee for the second vehicle collected on site. 2 vehicles = 1 sleeping unit (trailer, pop-up, pickup camper, RV, etc) + 1 passenger vehicle or 2 passenger vehicles. There is not room for 2 sleeping units.

This campground has first-come, first-served sites

This campground does not offer a dump station, however, a dump station can be found 8.1 miles away at Deer Run Campground

Drinking water is only available mid-late May through mid-September. No hookups available.

Dump stations are located at Antelope Flat, Der Run, Firefighters, and Lodgepole. A fee is charged.

Showers are located at Deer Run and Mustang Ridge for campers with proof of camping registration.
