My family has loved Mustang Ridge for nearly 40 years. This year’s visit was diminished by extremely gross bathrooms and showers. So much that it makes us consider another location.

Upon arrival, the campsite had some food mess leftover from prev campers like cereal and dog food scattered all over the ground and some dried sticky stuff on the picnic table, but otherwise this campsite/campground was amazing. We loved how close the water was (it was like a 5 min downhill walk) and the tree coverage was really comfortable to get some shade at diff points in the day. There were good flat spots for our tents and gorgeous views. We liked that we had to walk down a small hill from our parked car to get to the campsite and I feel like it added some space between us and other campers.

The campground was very clean and well-maintained, and the hosts were wonderful and very responsive and polite. Loved the shade at all the camp sites! Definitely recommend to others and will stay there again.

This was our second year at this campground (and campsite) and we’ll be back again next year! Water was on this year which was nice. Bathrooms were clean, camp hosts were helpful, generous, and friendly. Great spot for kids—a short walk to the water but not close enough that you worry about any littles wandering into the reservoir. Adequate shade, room for our big tent plus a pavilion, hammocks, and more. We had a fantastic week.

Our campsite, #32 worked well for us and was private. The campground was nice, showers were ok. Try the handicap shower, the water was warmer and water lasts longer. Also unfortunately we thought we would fill our camper with water upon arrival at the campground but you are not allowed to hook up hoses to the spigots as they don’t have backflow devices. It’s a long ways back to Dutch John to get water. We did walk to sunny cove to swim and that was great.

Our family has camped EVERY year at Mustang Ridge since 1993. We have treasured every ingle day camping, boating, fishing, cliff jumping, etc. up until this year. This year we were terriby disappointed!! The showers had NO hot water and were disgustingly filthy. Of course with no hot water to clean the bathrooms properly that is to be expected! In the entire campground of nearly 70 sites there was only one water faucet working. All of the others were labeled as "closed". I have no idea what's happened to this heavenly campground, but something has gone terribly wrong! If it's the US Forest Services fault or the campground host's lack of concern - THIS NEEDS TO BE REMEDIED!
