What Guests Are Saying
Box Elder Campground offers well-maintained sites with a friendly atmosphere and beautiful wooded surroundings, making it a favorite for many visitors. The campground hosts are generally helpful, and the facilities, including clean bathrooms and upgraded fire pits, add to the positive experience. However, some campers noted issues with space constraints for larger groups, limited access to drinking water, and the need for improvements in some facilities, such as picnic tables and restroom supplies.

Just because something is in nature it doesn’t mean it’s pretty. Also, the website said that the site accommodates a 36’ vehicle, but that was not true.

All pull ins and easy back ins for small to medium travel trailers and RVs. Short drive from interstate, clean, well maintained unsaved level access road.

Staff was very friendly, campsite was clean and ready when arrived. Park was easy to find with great signage to get there. We stayed one night on our way to a different destination. I would recommend but not sure I would stay again at the this exact campsite. The trees completely hung over the picnic table and with the amount of box elder bugs we could not cook on the camp stove or eat at the table. A different campsite would be nice though.

We were glad they did something about the bridge that was wiped out a few years back by a flood. While it is much simpler, it will be much easier to replace if there's a flood in the future. Even with the heat wave we have been experiencing this summer, the evenings and mornings were nice. It was great sleeping in cool air.

We had an amazing time. We arrived a little early but were able to set up immediately. The hosts were very friendly and our spot was perfect, exactly what we had hoped for. There are no showers, but the toilets we very clean and were kept that way all through the busy 4th of July weekend. We are most definitely going there again and I would recommend it to anyone.

We have been coming camping here around the same time every year. Our family takes up at least three and sometimes four camp sites. We have loved having Stevie and Scott as camp hosts. They love what they do and it shows.

Great campground. Lots of shade, stream nearby, lots of trails to explore. Clean, flush toilets. We went in the middle of June and the poppies were blooming-stunning! However, there were lots of people there to see the poppies, so it was more crowded than I’m guessing other times of the year would be. Mantua reservoir close by, perfect for kayaking. We were in site 17 and loved it.
