What Guests Are Saying

Box Elder Campground offers well-maintained sites with a friendly atmosphere and beautiful wooded surroundings, making it a favorite for many visitors. The campground hosts are generally helpful, and the facilities, including clean bathrooms and upgraded fire pits, add to the positive experience. However, some campers noted issues with space constraints for larger groups, limited access to drinking water, and the need for improvements in some facilities, such as picnic tables and restroom supplies.

We stayed on site 20, which is in a different location than the site map indicates, so it took us a bit to figure out. But this location was amazing with grass and a small stream and lots of space to move about! We hung our hammock and enjoyed exploring the woods, meadow, creek, trails, and apple orchard to the south. The racoons don't wait long to prowl about and were within just a few feet of us as we sat and stargazed. Fun trip, would definitely go to this campground again.

Campground was nice, but parking policy was a bit unclear. We thought it was okay to have two cars per campground, and didn't realize you have to pay for the extra car.

We live down in Brigham so this is a great place for us. We were in site #12. It was perfect for my kids (6,4,2). Great access to creek and easy for us to watch. There is even a fairy garden down one of the paths close to camp

Took my camper up - no problem getting into site.

This is great place to stay. Sites are a little close, but we didn’t have issues with any neighbors.

My daughters were impressed how clean the bathrooms were. "It doesn’t stink" is the exact quote.

We had a great time. The camp hosts keep everything so well cared for. It is really green up there right now, so we had a beautiful and peaceful spot.

There were some good trails and we really enjoyed the hiking in this area. The reservoir was closed due to an algae bloom so that really limited the activities while we were there. The facilities were ok, it did have running water which was nice.
The campsites are WAY to close together. We had people walking through ours to get to theirs and we could hear conversations from the groups next to us, all night long. Then were woken up each morning to a kid blowing a whistle, for hours.
The camp hosts were pushy and rude about many things, ESPECIALLY the parking. They were at our campsite every morning at 8 am asking for more money because we had TWO cars at the site. If you don't want to pay extra and have the camp hosts knocking on your tent every morning with their hand out, you have to park at the entrance of the campground and walk in. If you don't park your car at the entrance first thing in the morning you will not be able to find a spot, anywhere!
We brought our dogs with us (a small dog and a lab). They are well-behaved, well trained, sweet dogs, but they had to be leashed, even in our own campsite. This was another thing the Camp Hosts would fuss about. They would WALK INTO OUR CAMPSITE and tell us to chain our dogs. Even if the dogs were simply sitting at our feet. There are other campsites that allow dogs to be off-leash, so, if you have dogs, GO ANYWHERE ELSE!
It was not a relaxing weekend at all, and we will never be back.
