The campground is beautiful & our site #3 was great except we were next to the camp hosts. If you enjoy the quiet mornings & want to hear the water flowing, don't stay by the hosts. 6:30 AM every morning they run their generator! It's clearly allowed as quiet hours are 10pm-6am but there's camping etiquette. Not to mention the greeting we received was a bit aggressive. We mentioned we were going to have another vehicle which is $10 extra per night. We said no problem & offered to pay then but she needed their license. As soon as my kids pulled up (we weren't there) she said you'll have to pay $20 but my kid only had $9 & she said someone has to pay asap. She wasn't friendly & quite honestly her unwelcoming way & the 6:30 am generator alarm would steer me to not stay there again. They are the camp hosts at site #4. Try not to stay near them. Unfriendly! There were other little annoyances but that was the biggest. The title camp "host" should remind them they are hosting families on vacation. People who want to create nice memories. No need to be rude. (Read Google reviews, I guess I'm not the only one)

We love going camping there and have been camping there for as long as I remember. We have always loved camping there and it has always been a good experience. This year however was a little different. The outhouses were dirty and the toilet paper was almost out. We asked the host about replacing it and she had said that she had just had surgery so couldn't.

Granite Flats was great. Our site was perfect and had plenty of room. It was quiet and secluded. We didn’t have a tent but if we did, it would be hard to find a site that would fit more than one.

Easy access to a trailhead, restrooms, and water spigots. Private spot up stairs above the road. Bugs were intense - use bug spray.
