This campground has excellent tree cover and is really very pretty especially the views of Mt. Timp. However, and I know this isn't their fault - the bathrooms not working is a huge minus. There's a water distribution issue, we get it. It was nice to be able to use the pumps which do work on weekends. Other users are correct that this campground is a bit dated though. I did like that the host went around managing noise and behavior.

We had such a wonderful time! The weather was warm, which made it hot at times. Our campsite host was super friendly and really knowledgeable. She helped us out with any questions we had and even lent me a converter box for my generator since I forgot to pack mine—how awesome is that? We also went rafting and tubing down the Provo River, and it was such a fantastic experience! I can't wait to come back for another stay!

This campsite is between a switchback on the road so it was incredibly loud with cars, trucks and motorcycles all night. The headlights would shine onto the tent which made it hard to rest.
The nature was beautiful but the road made sleeping hard.

Terrible. There is large parking lot just below the entrance of the Alpine loop. There were very loud people there partying until 5am. For the last hour were loud motorcycles and cars leaving. I didn't fall asleep until 5:30. It happens every year. 3rd year in a row I have had to deal with this.

The campground is badly degraded. There was no water, the bathrooms were locked and replaced with broken down portapotties, there were invasive weeds growing throughout our spot, and our spot was so close to the road that we heard cars driving by all night.

The camp host Sarah was amazing, very helpful and friendly. I’ve never had a camp host this great. The campground is getting old and needs repairs. We have been camping here for many years, one of the subjects during this family reunion was about how much the benches, tables, and fire pits have fallen apart. Overall the camping was great.

There was good shade, places to hang hammocks, and overall it was a great relaxing time.
Aspen Grove was having an outdoor concert, so there was some extra noise from them but overall it didn't bother us.

A great campground with lovely scenery. Strongly recommend going during the week - whenever I have, there are really not so many people there. Some caution in selecting your spot - some of the sites have uniquely placed fire pits that were not really sensible for people gathering around (specifically #23 that I had this last time, which was placed on a notable slope and one side dropped off to another level entirely), but overall a great stay.

We spent two wonderful nights at Mt Timpanogos Campground and couldn't have asked for a better basecamp. The location is fantastic — just minutes from Sundance Resort and the Provo River, with easy access to some genuinely beautiful hiking trails nearby. The campground itself was clean and well-maintained, and our camp host, Sarah, went above and beyond — attentive, helpful, and quick to answer every question we had. This was our 5th year at Mt Timp and we'll definitely be back!

- This Campground is in Bear Country Store food and trash securely to avoid attracting wildlife -Failure to comply may result in fines up to $5,000, and/or removal from your site Remember, a fed bear is a dead bear
- No water available on site; bring all water needed for your stay including drinking water This is a 'pack it in, pack it out' facility; bring trash bags
- Dogs or Domestic Pets Owners must -Control dogs by leash not to exceed six feet (6’) at all times -Clean up dog feces immediately -Limit two dogs per site Do not allow dogs to -Threaten or attack people/animals -Interfere with people, vehicles, or property -Cause damage to vegetation or harass wildlife
- Gates open at 7am, close at 10pm; Camping is allowed only within the designated space provided. Do not go beyond the boundaries of your site; Max occupancy is 8 people per single site; Reserved sites will be held until 12pm the day following your scheduled arrival date; Horses/Off-road vehicles are not allowed in the campground; Leave No Trace; Unclean sites will be reported to the District Ranger LEO; Cleaning fish or bathing where drinking water is supplied is strictly prohibited; Fireworks, discharging of firearms, or other explosives in the campground is not allowed; No boisterous behavior. Be courteous to your fellow visitor. Keep noise at a reasonable level; No amplified music is allowed in USDA Forest Service campgrounds and facilities; Max Vehicle Length includes tow vehicle;
- There is a 2-night minimum stay on weekends; 3-night minimum stay on holiday weekends
- Trailers/Campers and RVs: Come with water tank filled. Hooking up to spigots or the power in the restrooms, even for medical devices is strictly prohibited SR 92 outside the campground has a 30-foot vehicle length restriction; longer vehicles will not be allowed on the road
- First Come First Served (FF) sites For reservable sites, reservations must be made at least 5 days in advance You must claim a FF site in person on the day you wish to check-in A site listed as FF does not guarantee availability, Recreation.gov does not update FF occupancy The only way to know if an FF site is available is to arrive at the campground on the day you plan to check-in Availability cannot be predicted Many sites are in remote locations, we cannot contact hosts about availability Recommended arrival times vary by day. Weekends and holidays typically fill more quickly To claim an FF site, you must be present, occupy the site, and pay at that time
- Extra Vehicle -$10 per vehicle, per day (paid on-site cash/check) Firewood -$9
- If you booked at a discount without a Senior/Access pass, you'll need to pay the difference in cash/check upon arrival. Only Senior/Access passes qualify for discounts and proof of ownership upon arrival is required
- Cancellations within 24 hours prior to arrival date will forfeit the entire use fee and a $10 cancellation fee; No-shows, early departures, or cancellations after the arrival date will not be refunded; Failure to arrive at the site by 12pm the day after scheduled arrival and does not cancel the reservation, will be charged a $20 service fee and forfeit the first-night use fee;
