What Guests Are Saying
The Mt. Timpanogos campground offers stunning views and excellent proximity to hiking trails, making it a picturesque spot for outdoor enthusiasts. Camp host Sarah received high praise for her helpfulness and friendliness, contributing to a positive camping experience. While some amenities like bathrooms and privacy could be improved, many visitors enjoyed their time despite minor inconveniences such as noise from nearby partygoers and traffic.

Great hosts, good sites. If you are worried about wildlife, don't. It is pretty close to the mountain road...but not too close to enjoy some peace and quiet. Loved the availability of firewood and so close to other great things (bridal veil falls short distance away).

Did not realize how on the toast this campsite is but it was fairly quiet overnight. The water had been reported as out but we had running water. However, the bathroom was closed and port-a-potties were all that was available. A large group partying further down did not respect quiet hours which was frustrating but our site was far enough away to tolerate it. Parking space was flat, fire pit was nice and large (no grate/grill for cooking fyi) and the tent space was clear of rocks. Overall a decent campsite in a gorgeous area!

Get your dang bathrooms working!! Portable biffies are a poor choice even short term, let alone being used for multiple years.
Camp host was very nice
Thanks!

Mt. Timpanogos campsite was great, our site (#20) was pretty big and with some shade in the afternoon. We loved that it was tucked away which gave more privacy.

No Water, No Toilets only Porta Potty's, they opened for the season before they were ready for campers. Entrance gate is locked at 10pm with no outside parking so if you have to leave you cannot comeback, they have tire destroying guards on the exit to make sure of it. Tent site was tiny, tent pad was too small for even a medium size tent, was unlevel with multiple large roots running through it. Firepit and picnic table were both cracked and not maintained. Lots of road noise from traffic running the mountain road large motorcycle groups and wannabe racecars with no mufflers. 0/10 would not recommend.

This campground, while well-situated for Mt Timpanogos hikes, has deteriorated and not been maintained. The concrete fire pits are falling apart, as are the wood guardrails along the roads. All of the bathrooms were out of order, replaced by port-a-potties, which were not checked daily and got disgusting in more active areas. Many of the water spigots lacked handles and were unusable. The good news is that there was plenty of availability on a Tues/Wed in late August.

The campground is very pretty and the views are stunning. Unfortunately it is by the alpine loop road that is well-trafficked even through the night. Loud motorcycles came through even between 12 and 3 am, making for a rough night's sleep

Site was well kept and had two distinct places to pitch a tent. Wood is plentiful, but thicker pieces need to be cut to be able to be burnt in the fire pit. The pit doesn’t have a built-in grill. The timoanogos trailhead is across the street which is very convenient.
