We came in late and the camp host was informative and kind! Really helped walk me through the process and setting up the recreation.gov app! We really made some things difficult for her, but she was so patient and kind! The campground is absolutely beautiful! Loved staying here and will so again!

We enjoyed our family reunion in the Mt. Timpanogos campground. It was beautiful. We did not enjoy that there was no water and only porapotties but everything else was great. Camp host was lovely.

Beautiful campground. The hostesses were very friendly and helpful. The river is loud! So be prepared for that. But the location was gorgeous. Good experience.

The site is very nicely situated near a river with plenty of trees near by for hammocks, however it is equally close to the road with an abundance of flys of no-see-ums so be prepared with plenty of bug repellent or a bug net.

In direct sun until about 530. Gorgeous view!
Only downside is it’s next to the road and BYU building so it wasn’t as quiet as I would have like, but still good

I have very mixed reactions to this camping experience.

There was no water. Due to this all the bathrooms were closed and water stations shut down. They put outhouses, which were only serviced every 5 or 6 days. My god that got nasty, and FLIES! So MANY flies!

The campgrounds are gorgeous. The mountain views spectacular. The creek was running and was so lovely to hear! The Sundance resort is super close and provides a civilized break from camping and lifts to the top of the mountain, which is fun for the kids. The stars are breathtaking at night from the campground!

The sites are very old and seriously need updating. The tent areas are not flat and have large sharp rocks embedded in them. The BBQs are melted, bending down over the single center poles that hold them up. Most annoyingly all the sites used to be paved, but the paving started breaking up long long ago so now its a mixture of dirt and chunks of broken blacktop. My daughter twisted her ankle falling off the broken edge unexpectedly. Our dog was incredibly dirty. After the huge downpour with thunder and lightning the whole site was a muddy mess.

BYU has a large retreat facility just outside the campground with hundreds of kids attending. Every single night they have some large and very loud celebration. Every. Single. Night. Until 11pm.

Please repair (or repour!) all the sites. Please level the tent areas. Please replace the tired old BBQs. Please fix the water! Please introduce predators for all the aggressive flies. Please educate BYU on how much they are disrupting the experience for everyone camping here.

The area and the drive to get here is stunning. The sites are pretty but a bit too close to the road and to each other. There was a lot of ruckus coming from nearby Sundance, so don’t expect peace and quiet here. No potable water and no access to restrooms while we were there - only port-a-potties. No trash or recycling services.

Double check that the water is available as well as toilets. Both were out-of-service with no notifications beforehand.

This Campground is a maze and the campsites are not clearly marked. It was very confusing. The bathrooms were closed and there was no water. There were porta potties located in the campground, however, we had human feces and tons of toilet paper in the bushes surrounding our campsite. It did put a damper on the experience. I would have expected better given the location. It was very disappointing.
