What Guests Are Saying
The Mt. Timpanogos campground offers stunning views and excellent proximity to hiking trails, making it a picturesque spot for outdoor enthusiasts. Camp host Sarah received high praise for her helpfulness and friendliness, contributing to a positive camping experience. While some amenities like bathrooms and privacy could be improved, many visitors enjoyed their time despite minor inconveniences such as noise from nearby partygoers and traffic.

Loved the "rustic" feel of this campground - mostly tent campers and smaller RV's.

We had a wonderful time here, hosting a youth camp for young women 11-17. We stayed in Campsites 17-20, which have their own little loop. Campsite 17 had LOTS of open space! We used it as our main gathering area for meals, games, yoga, 9-square, and evening activities. Campsites17, 19, and 20 had room for bigger tents. Campsite 18 only had 1 decent tent pad; a second one was very very small by the driveway, but worked in a pinch. Very shaded, lush, and private loop! Bathrooms were close by and toilets flush, but the sink was broken ad was very very gross—so we cleaned it up as a mini service project. Camp Host was a delight to work with! She was helpful, cheerful, and understanding. We had a slight mix up with our last day of reservations on one site, but it was an easy fix with my reservation info in my email. (We had cell service too, but honestly, why go away to mountains if you’re gonna be on your phone? We used it for emergencies only.) Also, the campground gate opens a 7am, and there is no way to get in before that. Gate closes at 10pm, but you can drive out anytime. FYI: If you’re only staying here and a few other places on the Alpine Loop, you don’t need to pay for the Alpine Loop Pass. That was handy info for my group’s budget! Great trailheads nearby, Aspen Grove ropes course hosts outside groups occasionally, and Provo River and Deer Creek reservoir are close for water activities. Highly recommend! We will be back!

Great campground! The drinking water was being fixed, so we had to haul our water. The camp host, Vickie, was the best ever!

Gorgeous place, such a good getaway and cooler than the valley too.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Plenty of room at our site and away from the other sites. Clean bathrooms and easy access to hiking.

Loved staying here and can not wait to go back! Very green and very clean. Vicky is doing an amazing job, and was friendly and helpful whenever we had a question (or had to pump up our air mattress.)
The camps are well spaced for privacy. The bathrooms are in good order and clean. This place is best for the smaller camper or medium tent. But worth downsizing your gear for a lovely stay. Five stars.

The campground is nice, but I would not visit there again. Lots of noises and shouts could be heard from somewhere past the midnight, and lots of motocycles passed by in the very late night as well. If you want a quiet and peaceful place like me, I would not recommend this site.
