We had a wonderful time here, hosting a youth camp for young women 11-17. We stayed in Campsites 17-20, which have their own little loop. Campsite 17 had LOTS of open space! We used it as our main gathering area for meals, games, yoga, 9-square, and evening activities. Campsites17, 19, and 20 had room for bigger tents. Campsite 18 only had 1 decent tent pad; a second one was very very small by the driveway, but worked in a pinch. Very shaded, lush, and private loop! Bathrooms were close by and toilets flush, but the sink was broken ad was very very grossβso we cleaned it up as a mini service project. Camp Host was a delight to work with! She was helpful, cheerful, and understanding. We had a slight mix up with our last day of reservations on one site, but it was an easy fix with my reservation info in my email. (We had cell service too, but honestly, why go away to mountains if youβre gonna be on your phone? We used it for emergencies only.) Also, the campground gate opens a 7am, and there is no way to get in before that. Gate closes at 10pm, but you can drive out anytime. FYI: If youβre only staying here and a few other places on the Alpine Loop, you donβt need to pay for the Alpine Loop Pass. That was handy info for my groupβs budget! Great trailheads nearby, Aspen Grove ropes course hosts outside groups occasionally, and Provo River and Deer Creek reservoir are close for water activities. Highly recommend! We will be back!

Great campground! The drinking water was being fixed, so we had to haul our water. The camp host, Vickie, was the best ever!

Really enjoyed our stay here. Plenty of room at our site and away from the other sites. Clean bathrooms and easy access to hiking.

General
- This Campground is in Bear Country Store food and trash securely to avoid attracting wildlife -Failure to comply may result in fines up to $5,000, and/or removal from your site Remember, a fed bear is a dead bear
- No water available on site; bring all water needed for your stay including drinking water This is a 'pack it in, pack it out' facility; bring trash bags
- Dogs or Domestic Pets Owners must -Control dogs by leash not to exceed six feet (6β) at all times -Clean up dog feces immediately -Limit two dogs per site Do not allow dogs to -Threaten or attack people/animals -Interfere with people, vehicles, or property -Cause damage to vegetation or harass wildlife
- Gates open at 7am, close at 10pm; Camping is allowed only within the designated space provided. Do not go beyond the boundaries of your site; Max occupancy is 8 people per single site; Reserved sites will be held until 12pm the day following your scheduled arrival date; Horses/Off-road vehicles are not allowed in the campground; Leave No Trace; Unclean sites will be reported to the District Ranger LEO; Cleaning fish or bathing where drinking water is supplied is strictly prohibited; Fireworks, discharging of firearms, or other explosives in the campground is not allowed; No boisterous behavior. Be courteous to your fellow visitor. Keep noise at a reasonable level; No amplified music is allowed in USDA Forest Service campgrounds and facilities; Max Vehicle Length includes tow vehicle;
- There is a 2-night minimum stay on weekends; 3-night minimum stay on holiday weekends
- Trailers/Campers and RVs: Come with water tank filled. Hooking up to spigots or the power in the restrooms, even for medical devices is strictly prohibited SR 92 outside the campground has a 30-foot vehicle length restriction; longer vehicles will not be allowed on the road
- First Come First Served (FF) sites For reservable sites, reservations must be made at least 5 days in advance You must claim a FF site in person on the day you wish to check-in A site listed as FF does not guarantee availability, Recreation.gov does not update FF occupancy The only way to know if an FF site is available is to arrive at the campground on the day you plan to check-in Availability cannot be predicted Many sites are in remote locations, we cannot contact hosts about availability Recommended arrival times vary by day. Weekends and holidays typically fill more quickly To claim an FF site, you must be present, occupy the site, and pay at that time
- Extra Vehicle -$10 per vehicle, per day (paid on-site cash/check) Firewood -$9
- If you booked at a discount without a Senior/Access pass, you'll need to pay the difference in cash/check upon arrival. Only Senior/Access passes qualify for discounts and proof of ownership upon arrival is required
- Cancellations within 24 hours prior to arrival date will forfeit the entire use fee and a $10 cancellation fee; No-shows, early departures, or cancellations after the arrival date will not be refunded; Failure to arrive at the site by 12pm the day after scheduled arrival and does not cancel the reservation, will be charged a $20 service fee and forfeit the first-night use fee;
