What Guests Are Saying

The Mt. Timpanogos campground offers a stunning natural setting with beautiful mountain views and convenient access to hiking trails. Camp hosts are noted for being friendly and helpful, enhancing the camping experience. However, noise from partying campers and road traffic, along with issues like wasps and inadequate bathroom facilities, detracted from some visitors' experiences.

This is an okay campsite, very family oriented, flush bathrooms were clean and okay. The campsites themselves are very close together, the hosts ignore you unless you’ve done something wrong, extremely pet friendly, lots of deer viewing. I’d recommend this for a two night stay easy camp with kids, I wouldn’t suggest it for people looking to get away from anyone, you’re stacked on top of each other so close we could hear the other campers low volume conversation. Beautiful campground, overall enjoyed but would’ve rather spent more time not bumping into our neighbors, too many sites for a secluded private experience.

We have stayed at this campground many times - it's our favorite! But we haven't been for more than 5 years. We were so excited to go back. We were so disappointed in the dis-repair of the the campground as a whole. Only about half the water spickets worked, the restroom that we used was messy with bits of tp all over the floor, the base of the toilets were filthy, the sink was horrendous - even by camping standards, every fire pit we saw had concrete falling off the outside, plenty of dead timber that needs to be removed & at least 1 "street" sign by site 17 that needs to be replaced. I realize that this campground is fairly old, but some (if not all) of the money people pay to stay there needs to go to the upkeep of the campground and this campground needs some maintenance!
The campground host, Mary I think her name is, was pleasant to work with. We've never had issues with her. She has a job to do and she does it and doesn't take crap from anyone. Very no-nonsense. The campground in general was very clean, no litter.
We love this campground and will surly go again, we just hope there is some maintenance done soon.

We stayed at Timpanogos campground Mon-Wed., July 6-8 in site #19. This was our second time at the campground. We rarely saw Mary, the camp host, and had no problems with her. She was very pleasant. We love Timp campground! Lots of shade, water taps, and flush toilets. Some sites are small, fitting only one 2-4 person tent. A few are larger fitting 2, 2-4 or 4-6 person tents. Sites 10, 17, and 19 fit larger tents. If you need lots of room, site 10 is the way to go. So much room! I don't recommend sites 21, 23, and 25 because they are on a hill (no fun to slide down in your sleeping bag in the middle of the night!). Be sure to put your food away at night because the critters (squirrels, raccoons, deer, and bears) come out to explore. You don't need to pay the Alpine Loop entrance fee if your car/RV won't be leaving Timp Campground. Just let them know you are staying there. Happy Camping!
