What Guests Are Saying
Timpooneke campground is praised for its stunning views, clean facilities, and friendly hosts who take great pride in maintaining the site. Campers appreciate the spacious sites, especially those with yurts, and the opportunities for hiking and enjoying nature. However, some noise from nearby roads and vehicles can be disruptive during the night, which may affect the overall camping experience.

We have been going to this camp ground off and on for a number of years. This time we had a wonderful time. The camp ground was very clean and the restrooms were cleaned three times a day. The hosts were very nice and did a great job at keeping things cleaned. On the first day we saw a deer and on our last day we saw two bull moose. We were very happy with our experience.

Incredible hike. Views are breathtaking. Terrain is challenging in some areas - > wear boots!

Such a beautiful campground. Hosts were very helpful and vault toilets were the cleanest ones I have ever been in!

Great campground in a fabulous location on the scenic loop, which you can take from American Fork Canyon all the way around to Provo Canyon for a visit to Sundance. Sundance has an outdoor outfitter offering many fun activities. Ride the Gondola up to the top of the mountain, mountain bike down, after noshing on the delicious nachos at the Bearclaw cabin. Make sure to chat with the very knowledgeable campground hosts, Mike & Nola. I expect campground hosts to have a lay of the land, useful area maps for hiking and exploring, and up to date information on what's happening in the area. For instance, I was going to visit the Ranger station in Pleasant Grove, Mike & Nola saved me the trip letting me know the station was closed due to covid. They also supplied me with a little extra fire wood from a previous camp that had checked out! For my particular stay, I preferred sites in the B loop. A loop seemed to be a bit on the noisy side.

This is only a campground for tents or tiny trailers. The spot we reserved was long enough for us, but the road in front of it was so small we couldn’t maneuver to back into the spot. There are a couple of places where you ride over the top of a pipe that the river runs through. It was very scary trying to get across without going off the road and into the river. I would not recommend this campground.

Great campground. We loved the water and hiking. We had issues with our neighbors breaking the rules. They were first shooting in the trees behind us with some sort of paintball guns. They were loud way past the quiet hours. There was also another group playing horseshoes till around 1am. The noise was extremely rude. The host is too far away from the two loops to hear.

Site 7 does not provide adequate space for a large tent as the other sites do.

Camp hosts were fantastic. Great campsite and got to see a moose and deer just a few yards away.

This camp is close to fabulous hikes! My favorite is Julie Andrews Meadow. The views from here are spectacular!
