What Guests Are Saying
Timpooneke campground is praised for its stunning views, clean facilities, and friendly hosts who take great pride in maintaining the site. Campers appreciate the spacious sites, especially those with yurts, and the opportunities for hiking and enjoying nature. However, some noise from nearby roads and vehicles can be disruptive during the night, which may affect the overall camping experience.

This was my first time camping with my horse. The area and the trails are beautiful. However, the horse corral had a tree stump, big rocks, and it was totally full of tall weeds. I had to spend an hour pulling stinging nettle and plants with thorns out with my bare hands before I could put my horse in it. I was so excited about this trip and was super disappointed when we got there and saw what a mess it was.

Great views. We love the altitude when it's extra hot in the valley.

As usual, we had a great time at Timpooneke. We have been going there since 1980. We went on a casual hike one day. The next, we drove up to Silver Lake and the kids played on the kayaks and water toys. The weather was very pleasant. There was a heatwave down in the valley, but up the canyon it's perfect. We had a double site and a single site. Our son rented a trailer and shared the double site with us. There was plenty of room to fit 2 trailers and our trucks there. Our daughter stayed in the single. They keep the bathrooms clean and maintain them well. They are drop toilets, outhouse kind of toilet but they don't smell bad like some. We sung around the campfire at night with my guitar and roasted smores. Thanks to the hosts who were great.

This is a group site, so more expensive than others, but also very private and on the creek. Go back in the woods a bit and there's a perfect spot by the creek to hang your hammock

We stayed in the horse property 006, and family booked 007 right next to us. They had to pitch their tents on ours because there was no spot to pitch a tent at 007. The camp hosts were great, and the table and fire spot was nice. Plus there was an extra spot for using our 2 burner camp stove. It's a bummer that all the camprounds can't have flush toilets and sinks like Mt. Timpanogos has. But all in all, it was a great stay. It was secluded and beautiful! (I might take the non-flush toilets over the lack of seclusion that Mt. Timp campground has.)

This is a beautiful spot in the mountains. Unfortunately there are several issues with this group site. There really isn't enough room for campers and the number of people they say can stay, the outhouses are disgusting, the firepit is completely falling apart as well as some of the tables and benches. The camp hosts were very unkind and bossy and made our stay less than fun. We won't return to this site.

Gorgeous campground, spaced out sites, very clean toilets, new cement picnic and fire ring pads, and large & flat tent pads. Very well kept and secluded campground. Highly recommend for others to visit!
