We were told in advance that there would be no drinking water. We were surprised to find out that the restrooms were closed and replaced with Honey Buckets. I understand with the drought that there was no water for drinking and cleaning. However, we paid a very high price for this spot. We should get a prorated refund for an unimproved site. We’re at least should have been notified in advance of the restroom closure. We might have made other plans.

Clean, private sites. Picnic table needed replacing. Portapotties were the only bathrooms available due to a water shortage.

The broken water system was very disappointing. The porta-let was disgusting & we had to go back into town for more water. Just a few weeks before, I encountered broken water pipes at Spruces too. Otherwise I love these wonderful resources

The yurts were great. We rented both the yurts in spots 14 and 16. The camp hosts Marian and Jana made sure everything was set and we were taken care of.

One of the main reasons for booking tanners flat campground is the availability of flush toilets. Unfortunately, the whole time we stayed, they had water issues and flush toilets were not available.

Campsite #31 was great. There were two large tent sites, two table, a counter, barbecue and fire pit. The camp was neat and clean when we got there. Unfortunately, there was a problem with the water and we had to haul in all our water for our needs. The portable toilets were way too full. I'm sure the repair to the water was anticipated to be completed the day after our visit but the portables needed to be emptied at least once in that two week repair period. That was very unpleasant. We appreciated the privacy of this campsite and would reserve it again.

Beautiful campground, but water was turned off. Very inconvenient. Honey Bucket outhouses replaced the closed bathrooms. Honey Buckets were emptied only once a week which was not often enough. They were outright disgusting! One flush toilet restroom door was not locked and really disgusting! A dead mouse was in a non functioning urinal because the water was off. The toilets were overflowing! The host should have been paying attention to these things and also garbage bags left around at closed restrooms. This campground needed attention!!!

Positives: Beautiful location with a roaring river along side the campsite. Lots of shade cover over the tent site and everywhere. We were able to pitch two medium sized tents side by side. We couldn't see other campers from either our tent site or our eating/fire pit site area. The campsite was very clean. Excellent T-mobile cell service at the entrance of the campsite and the beginning of the Little Cottonwood Creek Trail. Beautiful night sky full of bright stars.
Negatives: The "roaring" river. We tried to sleep, and couldn't. The river sounded like a heavy rainstorm or a very large fan blowing 24/7. At 3 am, we packed up our things and drove home. There was white water rapids that you could see and hear from our campsite. If you don't like loud, constant sounds, this is not the sleeping campsite for you (at least for us in June). Secondly,I used the AllTrails app to find the Little Cottonwood Creek Trail, and couldn't go very far because of having to cross medium sized rocks through creeks, and climbing through a rock field. I do not think bikes can come all the way to the campground, because I could not barely leave the campground on foot. (I did see other hikers go on the same trail.) Lastly, there was no T-mobile service at the campsite (but, I had full coverage at the entrance).
