Perched on top of Big Flat Mountain, this is one of the largest campgrounds in the park. Loft Mountain is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts, providing a wilderness getaway in the historic Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia.

Rangers at this campground are really nice and helpful. Our site was on a bit of a slope, but it's a mountain in the wilderness, so not unexpected. No cell service here, which again, was to be expected. Sites are large, well-separated and have good shade / cover. Lovely campground at a perfect time of year.

Amazing campground! The bathrooms were clean and accessible. The bathrooms *in* the campground proper don't have showers, but there is a camp store with food, showers, supplies a short walk away (less than 10 minutes from our campsite). The whole campground is encircled by a neat hiking trail with some incredible views.

This was the first time my wife and I visited this place, we spent only one night but we knew that next time our visiting will be for longer time, my little boy enjoyed this experience and all of us got a good time like family, this place was amazing.

Very nice campgound. I have a 32 ft 4th wheel and could not fit on the site we had reserved, the pull-throughs are all loops, some are so tight we could not get in the site. Luckily the Campground was not full and they worked with us to find a site we could fit in. We ended up in a pull-through that we needed to back into.
