The trees were more plentiful and taller than I expected. The wind in them was soothing

Mathews Arm Campground offers a clean, quiet, and well-maintained environment with ample wooded sites that provide privacy for campers. Many visitors appreciate the proximity to various hiking trails and the helpfulness of rangers and camp hosts. While the campground lacks showers and can be crowded on weekends, the overall experience is enhanced by its peaceful atmosphere and beautiful natural surroundings.

Quiet in the reservable area. Well organized. Love the metal picnic table and look clean. However the way the water sprout was designed did not allow my water container to obtain the max amount of water.

Matthew's Arm is a nice, quiet campground. There isn't a large open area to play in, sites feel smaller compared to the larger campgrounds, no amenities like showers or laundry, or on site wood/ice purchase, only 1 trail within the grounds, no visitor center, etc. If your looking for a quiet, primitive campground, then this is the one for you. They do have an amphitheater. Sounds like a lot of cons but really IT IS a nice quiet campground, good for short getaways to relax and unwind in the quiet of nature.
