Quiet, clean, shady, not very busy. Bill, the camp host, was interesting to visit with.

We stayed July 4 night. It wasnβt as crowded as we anticipated which was a nice surprise. The camp host was pleasant and gave recommendations for things to do in the area. The campground was clean and campsite sufficient. Zero cell service (a curse and blessing). We got up early to walk to the lake and enjoyed the quiet and solitude. No noise but the birds singing and a few otters playing in the water. Couldnβt have asked for a better experience.

Gem of a campground. Really remote and peaceful feel but not far at all from Natural Bridge and Lexington. Campsites are well-laid out, bathrooms were clean and the lake made for a great way to cool off.

It was our first time camping and this was the perfect campground!! Quiet with very clean campsite, bathrooms and showers and easy access. A good hiking trail up along the ridge that our 6 & 10 y.o. found enjoyable as well as a nice swimming area. The camp hosts are friendly, knowledgeable about the local area and they go out of their way to make a memorable family experience.

The campground was easy to get to, roads are paved, and itβs clean and serene. The restroom and showers were sooooo clean. Most importantly the camping hosts,Peter, Carol, were so friendly and made our stay enjoyable even though it rained for the days we were there.
We also visited the natural bridge which is just a couple miles from the campground.

An excellent campground for those needing to escape. Quiet forests beckon you to stroll easy pathways or ascend to the heights of friendly mountains (I like the easy pathways). I have camped here several times and look forward to my next return.

Definitely a camping trip I will never forget. Thursday evening was great. Friday was good until the storm came in.
Hailed so much it looked like it snowed. I have never seen hail come down that hard and that fast. Could fill a bucket full in about 5 seconds. Some of the workers said they think a tornado came through the area. They were all great and let everyone know where to shelter at if it got too crazy. Saturday rained all day and cold. Sunday was 40 degrees trying to pack up
Cave Mountain Lake campground is amazing!!! The perks are beyond first class!!! Every site is unique and well kept. My site had a good size stream running next to it that just sounded great.
Hot showers and clean bathrooms. Fresh water located all over the campground. The lake was cool too. New tent worked out great and made it through the weather. I will definately go there again many times!!!
First time I have literally had no internet and very spotty cell service. It was really nice to escape. Now when I got back in the zone my phone just about broke the holder with the 300+ notifications.
