The most beautiful campground! The highlight for us was Cave Mountain Lake which is right by the campground, hiking Wildcat Mountain with trailheads right by the campsite, and seeing natural bridge on the way back. Campground was super clean and the campground host was super nice and helpful. Truly a gem hidden away in the forest. We did a weekend trip here from dc and it was totally doable too. We will be back!

Always good at CML.Same problem every time though. Loud neighbors after 10:00 pm. Quiet hours need to be STRICTLY enforced!

Quiet, clean, shady, not very busy. Bill, the camp host, was interesting to visit with.

We stayed July 4 night. It wasn’t as crowded as we anticipated which was a nice surprise. The camp host was pleasant and gave recommendations for things to do in the area. The campground was clean and campsite sufficient. Zero cell service (a curse and blessing). We got up early to walk to the lake and enjoyed the quiet and solitude. No noise but the birds singing and a few otters playing in the water. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Gem of a campground. Really remote and peaceful feel but not far at all from Natural Bridge and Lexington. Campsites are well-laid out, bathrooms were clean and the lake made for a great way to cool off.

It was our first time camping and this was the perfect campground!! Quiet with very clean campsite, bathrooms and showers and easy access. A good hiking trail up along the ridge that our 6 & 10 y.o. found enjoyable as well as a nice swimming area. The camp hosts are friendly, knowledgeable about the local area and they go out of their way to make a memorable family experience.
