Big Creek Campground offers a beautiful and quiet camping experience near Mt. Rainier, with clean facilities and friendly camp hosts. The sites provide good privacy due to ample foliage, and many reviewers highlighted the spaciousness and cleanliness of the bathrooms. While some sites are near vault toilets or have limited shade, the overall atmosphere and access to hiking trails make it a desirable spot for families and nature lovers.

This campground is heavily wooded and very close to the entrance of Mt Rainier National Park. The water faucets are throughout the campground. There were two bathrooms near our site. One was very small and in need of an upgrade. Nighttime was truly nighttime. The site was clean with plenty of space for a 14 foot trailer and a 4 person tent.

We have never experienced a better campsite. Beautiful, roomy, private. Not just good space between campsites, but the creek was loud enough that you couldn't hear other groups. Tall, tall trees. Access to hiking trails. Deer, squirrels, birds. Not sure if they have bear issues, but we're always super careful not to draw them. Enough space for a 9-man tent. Easy for most folks to get to the creek (2-3 steep steps to a rocky shore). 12-18" deep, swift moving water - I would not allow younger children to wade without significant adult supervision, but fun for teens and adults. 5G worked great. I can't say enough good things.

I arrived around 3pm on June 30th. This campground is soooo clean, quiet and a few miles from the entrance to Mt Rainier. Bonus, all the access to water facets throughout the grounds! The camp host drove through at least 3x a day. By 10pm it was dead quiet. No parties or loud campers here. Even though the campground was fully booked by Friday, I never saw my neighbors because there are so many trees separating each site. I will 100% be back here next year!
