What Guests Are Saying
Charbonneau Park and Campground is praised for its beautiful, well-maintained grounds, spacious sites, and friendly staff, making it a popular spot for relaxation and outdoor activities, particularly near the river. Many reviews highlight the park's cleanliness and peaceful atmosphere, with some recommending it for RV camping due to limited water hookups. While there are some concerns about understaffing and the need for restroom upgrades, overall, visitors express a strong desire to return and enjoy the park's scenic views and community feel.

I have been coming to charbonneau park for the last 30 years. Itβs always been a great family experience of camping and boating in the beautiful park.
After our last visit, we will never be back. Dirty. Weeds. Dead grass (not even grass anymore). Spiders everywhere. Dead trees. Pitiful.

The park is one of my favorites and weβve been coming here for over 15 years now. Itβs usually very neat and tidy and well kept. This yearβ¦ something was off. There were tall shrubs lining the roads. Grass was long and hadnβt been mowed in a while. It was just weird.
I can tell that other improvements have been made to some of the sites- especially the ones overlooking the river to help level out the lot. I wish more sites had full hook up.
We love this and the unkept lawns wonβt keep us away.

We have been camping at Charbonneau park for at least 30 years and this was the worst condition the park has ever been in. They haven't been mowing regularly and there are tall weeds everywhere. There are also many dry spots. This has always been one of the prettiest parks but has gone down hill. We were very disappointed and would like to find out why this has happened. Also, the boat launch at the marina is in bad condition. One of the ramps was closed off and the other one had a big drop off. It was very crowded with only one ramp open.
