What Guests Are Saying
Hood Park is a beautiful, well-maintained campground with friendly and helpful staff, offering spacious sites and scenic views along the Snake River. Many families appreciate the park's peaceful atmosphere, clean facilities, and good fishing opportunities. However, some guests noted issues with spiders, bees, and tree maintenance, suggesting improvements in pest control and tree trimming for a safer experience, especially for families with young children.

The first day was disappointing because it was the opening day of the park this year. The dumping station was overflowing & would not allow any dumping. Turns out they forgot to turn on the pump. The electricity in our loop was off, and neither hydrant worked. They had. to have maintenance fix both. There were no attendants. The park rangers & Corp workers had to come each day to handle checking, site cleanings, etc. Worst opening of Hood Park in all the years we have stayed there

We love Hood Park. However, this last time the grounds were not nice and green as usual and maintenance was definitely not up to their usual standards. No campground host, restroom and showers locked (for several hours) because of maintenance issues, etc. It just wasn't up to the normal Corps of Engineers standards that we have experienced there the last two years. Hopefully, they will get it figured out and back on track. We plan to return and I'm sure will keep going there for a long time to come.

Nice little stop over campground. Wooded sites. Well organized with power. Clean and staffed with Army Corps rangers. A little noisy, with highway close by. River was not swimmable, as water was unsafe. Lastly, no water in campground. I wouldn’t make a specific trip, but super convenient when passing through eastern Washington.

I felt the grounds were well maintained; bath houses clean and orderly. Fellow campers were pleasant and well mannered.
The only thing missing was campsite water, but we managed. :)

Nice quiet park with fun atmosphere. Nice wide areas to roam and access to the Snake river for boating, fishing and swimming. Inexpensive, nice hosts. I would definitely go back.
