We were in sight 8 which is next to the river providing the sound of gentle water flow. We appreciated the quietness of this area of the campground. We did not have much interaction with the hosts but the gentleman had a warm, friendly smile.

Spent 5 Days/4 Nights and am relatively pleased with our stay. While the campsites proper are typically very spacious, set amongst old growth trees and well maintained, vehicle parking is very limited at some site. Parking at our site (#5/on the interior of the loop) was wholly inadequate. It was listed as being able to accommodate up to a 20 foot RV. We have a small "A-Frame" camper (17 feet/end to end) and it did fit into the space provided, the whole space with a few feet to spare. However there was nowhere to park our Ram pickup. we had to park on the other side of the road at my brothers campsite. Had he not been there with us, not sure where we would have.
In general this is an older campground with good bones just in need of an good upgrade/redesign. The exterior of the loop is best for both RV's and tent camping. At some point the direction of travel on the loop was reversed. Making some RV parking in some sites greater than 90 degrees. Our site showed evidence of the old direction of travel and was probably at the time one of the better sites. The interior of the loop in general is best suited for car type camping, with just a single vehicle. General river access is limited, between sites 7 & 8 and next to site 14. Their are water spigots throughout the campground, however half were bagged/awaiting maintenance/out of order? A mix of newer and older vault toilets, with paper and natural lighting (bring a flashlight at night) that are well maintained. The campground is next to Oklahoma Road, so some sites (2,4 & 6) might here a little road traffic. during our stay it was minimal during the day and almost nonexistent at night.
I love that there is a mix of first come/first serve and reservable sites and the fact that not all the best sites are reservable only. Our campground host were a young couple (new to hosting) and were and an absolute pleasure to meet and work with. Yes I would stay here again and recommend it. Do a pre-trip scout though

Loved this campground. I pulled in and was initially very disappointed because the sites were so close together with no privacy. We were about to leave but I stopped by the host and he showed me to a site that was very big and very private. Site 11, probably the only private spot, it was great and could easily setup 3 tents there. It was a bit loud at night on one of the nights, however we stayed 5 days and by the time we left, we were the only people there. I'll definitely be returning.

We were in the lower loop… fyi, the vaulted bathroom in that section is roped off and closed. You have to walk up to the upper loop or drive to the other bathrooms.
Things to do: The Ice Caves we’re amazing and fun!

Great, small camping site with lots of tree coverage. Our spot was near the stream but the vault toilet was out of commission which was factored into our site choice when we purchased. Regardless, would absolutely stay here again

We loved the campsite. It was spacious, clean, and nicely shaded. We appreciated the water spigot right there at the end of the parking area. The bathrooms were clean and convenient. The camp sites were spread out enough that we felt a lot of privacy and we didn't have any trouble with noise. It was a great place and we would happily come back again in the future.

We’d reserved site 14 but when we arrived we found out that the pit toilet in that loop was out of order - and had been for two years we later discovered. We found an empty FCFS site in the main loop and the host let us switch to it. It was a nice site but we discovered that the water faucet for that area was inoperable so we had to walk a short distance around the loop to another water faucet. This is a nice small quiet campground that needs some infrastructure repairs to make it back to its original condition.
