What Guests Are Saying
Panther Creek Campground is praised for its beautiful, serene setting with spacious, private sites surrounded by lush vegetation and easy access to hiking trails and the creek. The campground is well-maintained, with clean facilities and a friendly host who enhances the experience. Some visitors noted issues such as a fire ban and occasional noise from neighbors, but overall, many expressed a strong desire to return and deemed it one of their favorite camping spots.

Stayed in 29 which was nice though a little far from restrooms and creek access but helped us get our steps in:) lots of creek access points, nice hike nearby and 5 mile drive to panther creek falls.

Can not give 5 stars. I first camped at Panther Creek in 1975. Have camped there hundreds on nights. On our most recent visit we greeted buy a camp fire pit full of garbage. Burned beer cans, used paper plates, tissue, napkins, chicken bones, bottle caps, cigarette butts, etc. Know one should have to deal with others garbage. In past decades there were posted reminders that fire pits are non garbage pits to leave behind. In the past camp hosts would "groom" camp sites prior to the next guest's arrival. Apparently not a priority for RMRC.

Loved this little campground. Good trails nearby - Panther Creek Falls is just up the road, and about 30 minutes away from Beacon Rock. The campground is quiet and there is access to the creek. The pit toilets were very clean and stocked with TP the entire weekend. Would love to come back here!

Great campground with HUGE sites. Hike the PCT from your campsite. Drive a few miles and you've got lots more hiking opportunities. There's water available from a pump--just be sure to ask for operating instructions.

Great campground that is close to Portland while still being off the beaten path. The best sites are those on the East side along the creek.
There aren’t many water pumps or bathrooms. The best water is by site 20. We found the water pump by the host was yellow-ish. Also, the bathrooms are vault and are pretty clean, but smelly.
We stayed in a double site and they’re quite spacious. The single site sizes are hit or miss. We loved our site and appreciate how private some of the sites were.

Beautiful campground! Well kept, quiet, and friendly. The creek nearby is great for hanging out and playing in the water, but not so much if you plan on fishing. A short drive and decent hike away from the gorgeous Falls Creek Falls. What more could you ask!
