This campground is such a gem! Really quiet and clean and forested. Not all sites are not super private but still a great spot to stay if you are wanting to enjoy the beautiful Gifford Pinchot NF.

Camp hosts Trevor and Heidi were amazing. Very nice and very informative about the area. We were having such a great stay we extended our stay two extra days. The only unfortunate part is we had to change sites. No big deal been there before. The frustrating part is that the party that had our site reserved for Friday and Saturday no showed, so the move was for nothing. Heidi had stated this occurs quite frequently. There has got to some sort of improvements that can be made to ensure that more families can enjoy camping and the outdoors. Overall 9 sites that had Friday reservations were still vacant Saturday afternoon. Its hard enough to get reservations as is.

Love this campground. Probably the cleanest it’s been over the last 10 years or so we’ve been going there. Campground hosts very nice this time, too. Thanks!!

Hosts, Trevor and Heidi were the best of the best. Campground is well kept and clean. Very quiet aside from occasional log trucks. Creek was peaceful and relaxing. We extended our week long stay by a few days because it was hard to leave this beautiful place.

Rustic but comfortable and well-maintained. Camp hosts were helpful and friendly, but not obtrusive.
I enjoyed my stay.

The camp hosts were super helpful and kept us up to date about the local fires. Nice hike to Lava Butte-very steep! We enjoyed cooling off in the creek after huckleberry picking. Very clean and quiet. It’s our second time here and we’re definitely coming back!

The campground and campsite were great and the hosts were very friendly. They kept the restrooms and vacated campsites tidy.
I have only two negative comments; there was a campsite south of us that had extremely bright area lights on until 2AM, and there were three or more campsites that had been reserved but not occupied by the second night of the reservation.
A rule restricting lighting to quiet hours would be appreciated and stricter enforcement of the existing reservation policy should be considered.

Primitive campground with vault toilets. No fish able streams nearby. Nice trails and OK privacy between sites.
