We have stayed at this campground three times. It's a beautiful and peaceful place, usually. The last time we were there, a boat went roaring upriver blasting Michael Jackson music around 8:30 p.m. Then, there was about an hour of gunshots coming from the west, fairly constant, until after dark. I realize this is out of the park's control, and I am sure we will stay there again. Plenty of space between campsites, the campsites are pretty short. Lots of room for trash in the dumpster, and the vault toilet was very clean. Campground information has also been updated to include no water available in this campground. Thank you National Recreation Area for this campground.

By far our favorite campground. Have stayed here several times. It is small and intimate with a decent amount of spacing between the individual campsites. Friendly people. Extraordinary views of the Kettle River. Easy access to a swimming area. Dog friendly. See our photos at TucotheLurcher on Instagram, of our most recent stay.

The pit toilet was cleaned daily, the park ranger came through to ensure everything was well, an additional garbage container was added since all 13 sites were full (family reunion), and the whole site was very clean. One suggestion: install power hookups.
