What Guests Are Saying
Kachess campground offers a beautiful, scenic environment with spacious and private campsites, making it a popular choice for many visitors. Numerous reviews praise the cleanliness of the campground and the friendliness of the staff, along with access to hiking trails and the lake. However, some concerns were raised about sanitation issues in the vault toilets, low lake water levels, and a lack of enforcement of campfire bans, which detracted from the overall experience for some campers.

Overall it was good, but some people were pretty loud even after 10pm. Sadly I left my ear plugs at home.

I love this park and this lake.
The park and minimal facilities are well maintained, and most sites have quite a bit of real estate, so like any state park there are lots of spaces, but there is also lots of room. If you have a big rig, read your site specs carefully, not all sites can handle super rigs, and some are just hard to get into because of angle.
There are no power or water sites here. There are water taps of course, but no hook ups (yelling at the lady in the booth will not change this) This is a boondockin'/dry camp scenario. There are plenty of restrooms, most are pit toilets (please close the lid when you are done) Please do not run your generator all night!! bring games and battery lights please.
I want to say bad things about this place so people will stay away and I can book a site whenever I want to haha, but the fact is it is an amazing place, and I love coming here.

Paddlers paradise! Nicely spaced sites, flat spots for tents, clean flush toilets. Overall, A+ campground.

Nice and spacious site with pretty good connection. The bathroom can get smelly at times and the spigot is not too close, but it was a good experience overall.

My family camps at kachess every year and we always have a great time but this year the camp hosts were extremely rude and offensive. Jim needs to learn how to speak to people like an adult

The campsites are all pretty large. They’re not too close to each other. The lake is clear and a little chilly but warm enough to swim in for a bit. The bathrooms are flush toilets. Potable water. Beautiful!
