Spent 2 nights at Cougar Rock. Campsite was clean and roomy - we three were in a van and a tent. Rangers were personable and helpful. Bathrooms clean and stocked. Be aware that only certain loops have a bear box in each campsite. Hiking, weather, and views were terrific.

This campground is beautiful! The rangers and the camp host were so polite and personable. We stayed in loop C and this loop has a very tight turn at the end of it and we barely fit. The trees had damage so other people have definitely hit them multiple times. Our site was C28, a very long pull through. We have a 30 foot trailer with a 20 foot tow vehicle. We could not pull through this site due to a tree, but we were able to back in the trailer with ease. Any longer than us would probably not be able to successfully drive through the loop. Out site was huge and quite far away from other campers. The kids loved how much room there was to play under the trees. This is a very wooded campground and it was wonderful to relax under the trees. This campground is within walking distance of the Carter Falls trailhead, I highly recommend this hike as well as this campground!

Just a very relaxing experience. Restrooms were clean, and the campground was quiet. Mt. Rainier as a whole is a life event you’ll never forget!

Dump station is closed and its very inconvenient since the road through the park to other campgrounds is closed. Campers need better access to drinking water. Also, site C12 is used as a cut through to the bathrooms from Loop B because there is no trail around. It was not great having people constantly walk though our campsite while we were trying to have a campfire or cook dinner.

One of the most beautiful camp grounds in one of the most beautiful places. We booked one night but the next 2 nights were booked out but the recreation.gov staff booked us another site for those next two nights so we were able to stay the whole time we needed which was fantastic. Unforgettable experience and stay.
