What Guests Are Saying
Kalaloch is praised for its stunning natural beauty, proximity to the beach, and great accommodations, making it a favorite destination for many campers. Visitors enjoy the tidepools, beautiful sunsets, and clean facilities, with some noting the helpfulness of the rangers. However, concerns include the need for better maintenance of the campground, issues with broken facilities, and a complicated reservation process. Despite these drawbacks, many campers express a strong desire to return.

This campsite and location itself is magical
The toilets are disappointingly bad, inadequate management

First off, majorly difficult to find your space , we were in a C loop, and no markings for how to get to the C loop, you have to go to a different loop, and eventually the road will come to the C loop.
Next, our campground was right next to another space, too close for comfort. We decided not to stay.

What a treat to be able to stay at a campsite on the Olympic Coast! For most of our 7-night stay, we had ocean views on the A loop. Beautiful! We've stayed at Kalaloch several times before and the only constructive feedback we can give is that the bathrooms on the south side of the campground need updating desparately. The sink in the mens' in one of the bathrooms was out of commission our entire stay. The bathroom on the north side of the campground was newly-built.

Please fix the showers/ add at least one set of shower rooms.
The experience at the campsite was great, the atmosphere of being in the forest next to the ocean is unreal. The campsite was clean, quiet, and every campsite seemed great. I wish there were showers though, we had to drive nearly 30 miles to get to some operating showers!

Amazing campsite. Really clean and rangers/hosts frequent the campsite. Our neighbors had an off-leash dog and they noticed and asked for them to leash since we also traveled with our dog. Really close to the beach, spacious sites, and clean bathrooms. Really close to the tree of life.

There was not any water available on the whole north end of the campground(loops D E F) except at the dump station. There used to be water spigots at each restroom and they have all been removed.
Also, the reservation system has not improved over the past several years with the new staggered site reservations. There was still the issue of multiple empty sites even though it was super difficult and frustrating to get a couple of sites near each other, and the camp ground was supposedly “full”.
This was my family’s 34th year of camping at Kalaloch and by far the most difficult to secure sites and to then arrive and have half the camp ground empty was super irritating.
