What Guests Are Saying
Kalaloch is praised for its stunning natural beauty, proximity to the beach, and great accommodations, making it a favorite destination for many campers. Visitors enjoy the tidepools, beautiful sunsets, and clean facilities, with some noting the helpfulness of the rangers. However, concerns include the need for better maintenance of the campground, issues with broken facilities, and a complicated reservation process. Despite these drawbacks, many campers express a strong desire to return.

This campsite is very small which we knew ahead of time but it rained constantly and a huge puddle ran underneath our canopy so we didn’t have a dry place to go.
Plus the inconsiderate RV people across from us who didn’t want to smoke in their RV smoked on the road so we couldn’t avoid smelling them every 10 minutes and if they weren’t smoking they were running their generator that smelled like exhaust and made its us super dizzy and sick.
You probably won’t have neighbors like that but you won’t be able to avoid your neighbors in a site this small is the point of the story.
Because there were no fires allowed we were able to set up a four person tent and a two person tent plus our 10 x 10 canopy to give you an idea of the size.
Don’t recommend if it’s raining if your tent camping, but if you car camp it’s fine.
Parking fit our standard minivan, but wouldn’t fit anything bigger.

It was an excellent weekend. The tent area on the roof is suitable for two tents (3-4 people) and offers good privacy.

Beautiful and clean campground, lovely host. I just wished there was a dish washing area nearer to loop D/E/F. Difficult to tent camp otherwise. We had to carry our dirty dishes home. Also, the washrooms seemed always full and weren't the cleanest.
Also this campsite is really small, compared to the neighboring ones. The highway noise can be startling at night.

Wonderful location! You can walk to several beach entrances and hear the waves from the campsites! Some campsites have beach views, which would be awesome. We saw sea otters and banana slugs - so cool. Plan ahead for it to be windy and cold though! Also, since it is such a beautiful campsite, it is super busy. Campsites are close together and there were several camping groups there that were loud past midnight. Still highly recommend due to the amazing nature views.
