Ohanapecosh Campground

Good location for access to both Sunrise and Paradise.

We had originally reserved a campsite, but when we arrived, we wanted to learn whether there was another possibility. The ranger was most accommodating and was able to do so for us. The new campsite was excellent. The bathrooms were clean, and our experience was delightful.

This beautiful campground is ideal for tents and small R.V.'s.
The ranger in charge of camping was friendly, helpful, and flexible.
Dom't expect much in the way of facilities at $20 a night ($10 Golden Age), but there was running water in the bathrooms and drinking water was available there also. Sites were almost all shaded by large trees. Generally, there was a large flat area around the table & bear locker. THe parking spaces were often less than 25 feet long, so laog trailers stay away! The river below the bridge (in the middle of the campground) was spectacular - if potentially dangerous. Trail to Silver Falls is a must see.

Very charming campground. I was initially trying to get into White River campground, but they were full. I'm actually a lot happier with Ohanapecosh than I think I would have been at White River. Two very different vibes. White River seemed a lot crunchier and Ohanapecosh seemed a lot more family friendly and cute. I could hear the river from my spot. The folks were very quiet except for the occasional burst of children's laughter as they ran past. Very clean. A wonderful place to be around other people, which is something I usually dread.

Nice large campground, clean bathrooms. I would stick to the outer loops as the inner sites are not private. Overall a very nice campground with a swimming hole and hiking trails.

Nice campground, with nice facilities. Also, has a ranger visitor center which was very helpful for gathering different information on hikes and sites to see. The only downside for our specific campsite, was the tent pad was very close to the campground road.

We enjoyed our stay. There is a lot of construction and improvements going on. My biggest complaint is that the campground loops are one way going the wrong direction because van sliding doors open on the passenger side and sites were setup for access from the drivers side. Otherwise it was great. We got there and were able to get a FCFS site at 4 pm which was awesome!
