The Geology patio talk by Ranger Tom was a highlight for my kids, as were the jr ranger activities. Nice location within the park, clean family friendly campground, great places to hike and play without having to get back in the car.

While I liked the campsite, area for text was about 15 feet from other campsites fire pit. Had a nice creek behind the site. Because it was so close to other campsite, I just slept in a hammock by the creek. Worked out well. Good site for tents, not sure about level ness for an RV

Beautiful campground, very few bugs at this time. Higher elevations had tons of mosquitos! Dip in the Ohanapecosh River was refreshing!!! Overall clean restrooms and good water. Pretty quiet overall

Arrived on a Tuesday at 10:30 am and was assigned A-44 for a first come, first serve site. Site A-44 was a wonderful site with room for my pop up trailer, room for at least two tents and trees for hammocks! Many other FF sites available but campground filled by the end of the week.

Very family friendly, individual bear boxes at site. Access to river for wading or swimming. Site E016 is not properly mapped. It is right next to bathroom, very close to site E015 which is also on the same inner loop.

A very beautiful place - but of course, it's Mt. Rainier National Park.
The staff were friendly and helpful in the visitor center - which is very interesting on its own. For hikers, there are many beautiful trails, nicely groomed and for any level of hikers. The campsites were clean and enough space for our needs. As were are older people (but we tent camped on the ground), restrooms were conveniently placed, cleaned daily with running water. Just outside were hose bibs with clean, cold potable water.
Considering the "pay-for-everything" dynamic of today, $20/per night wasn't bad. My only less-than-satisfactory item was access to the river. In my younger years, I could've bounded down the hillside - but not at 68. Haha.
All in all, it was a great experience as I took my wife (from Ukraine) camping for the first time in her life. She loved it and adapted as if she had done this her entire life. I would recommend this campground. Larger RVs will be difficult to navigate in some spots, but there are adequate spots for them.

The campsite we got lucky with was perfect! We were not too close to the neighboring campsite

The women working in the office were very helpful and knowledgeable when we were checking in. Camping in the NPS has become a nightmare in the last few years with all the regulations, and online reservations.
