The beautiful setting with the huge trees and the color of the Ohanapecosh River are very relaxing. There are plenty of trails to wander on and nearby Mt. Rainier National Park to visit. Well used park as it has been used for 100 yrs or so.

Huge campground near the Ohanapecosh River in Mount Rainier National Park. There are several trail options that start from the campground and all are great for families. You can visit the little hot springs (these are not big enough to bathe in) to enjoy the colors and flowers and the gorgeous Silver Falls is just about a mile from the campground visitor center. The rangers are super fun and helpful, the bathrooms are very well maintained and we always have a great time while we're there!

I find it totally unacceptable that all of G loop, along with several campsites closed due to hazardous trees. The tree access ent needs to be done, completely, then immediately those effected trees need to be cut down to eliminate site closures!! In add, the limbs need to be chipped up. Limbs all over make the campground look very raty and unkept.
When a person logs in to make a reservation, as soon as he starts to enter data on a site, that site should be locked up for him to complete his entry. When I started to make mine , as it was shown to be available, before I could finish someone else was given the site. That is totally unfair. I lost the site because I can’t type and have to peck.

Great site overlooking the river. Was able to fit one 4 person tent with room remaining. A short walk to the bathrooms. This site has no neighbors on either side just across from it.

Loved our campsite here! We were in F14, and had plenty of room for our 28’ Class C and our car!
Did several hikes from the CG, and they were awesome…the loop hike to the Falls was awesome!
Also went up to Sunrise…the snow was still heavy on July 2nd, so I didn’t get to do the hikes to Frozen Lake and up on the Ridge, but I loved my time at this CG!

Big sites with privacy. Many sites are along a creek or river, or the river is audible from the site. Some sites also back to the forest. Clean facilities.
