Incredibly beautiful. A lot of help at the ranger station. I wish I could walk my dog in the park. But the rangers had a ton of alternatives.

Great campsites, well maintained facilities, lots of easy hiking from the campground. Our site C11 was flat but had gravel where we pitched the tent so you might want extra padding under the tent floor for comfort.

If you're young and strong, this is a great site as it's a walk-in site, up a big hill, then, down a long path. I'm female and 60+. Thank God for the Ranger who helped me get all my gear up there with 2 dogs in tow!
It was the last available site at the park and I had to take it because my dogs freak out from fireworks. The site sits just above and to the left of its nearest site, making it a great site for close friends who want to camp close but in different sites. The site is small and adequate for 2 to 4 people in one larger tent. (A family.) I had great neighbors!
There are bathroom facilities at the top of the hill when you first come up, so it's not far from the site. Bring your own soap! I don't think there was hot water and there are no showers but there are toilets, and it was clean.
There was a clearing of tree branches above the site, so great spot for star gazing!!
It had a nice firepit and table.
The park itself is beautiful.

First camping experience in Mount Rainier. Lovely campsite surrounded by primitive forest. Excellent trail to falls within campground.

Beautiful campground nestled in massive grove of trees, towering above all the sites. Plenty of coverage between sites to provide privacy, and tent sites were all level. Thankfully there were flush toilets and running water available in early October, with the nearest showers posted at the Ranger Station.
Rangers who checked us in at the visitor center were helpful as always, providing plenty of recommendations on area hikes and letting us know the visibility of the mountain before setting out on the drive up to Paradise Visitor Center. Packwood nearby provided a grocery, gas, liquor stores and an adorable coffee & tea shop. Would love to visit again!
