What Guests Are Saying
Iron Creek Campground is praised for its beautiful setting among old-growth trees and proximity to the Cispus River, providing a tranquil and scenic experience. Campers appreciate the well-maintained facilities, clean restrooms, and spacious, private campsites. However, access to the campground can be challenging due to road conditions and closures, which some visitors found frustrating.

Very nice campground with excellent spacing between campsites. Only problem was the lack of a pump out station for our RV.

The first two nights were a bit chilly; however, the third day heat could be felt blowing in the wind. The campground was fairly vacant during our stay. Walk the trail to the river. See the huge tree that was cut (and left where it fell), probably around the WWI timeframe. Walked the four campground loops several times. Other campers were pleasant to interact with. The campground is our primary destination for camping. It provides the calmness that helps me to let go of the normal life stresses that has built up. Would like to stay at the campground more than once a year.
Sites are available to accommodate our truck and trailer (27' trailer tongue to butt).

You wouldn’t know such a beautiful place was only 8 miles from Highway 12.
The old growth trees are awe inspiring.
Cool shaded with large spots for privacy and paved roads keep the dust down.
A summer go too!

Absolutely one of the prettiest locations, and the campsite was big!

One of the most beautiful campgrounds we've been to. It's a big campground but at our site, D78, it felt like we were the only ones there. We camped next to two huge hemlocks, lots of space, few if any bugs, close to the river (wadable but very cold). It's fairly close to Rainier (40 min), but a haul to Mt. St. Helens (1:45) even through it's only 30 miles as the crow files. We took the Forest Service back roads to our next stop near Portland. Be advised it's rough in places especially with a trailer, but a treat is a beautiful backside view of Mt. St. Helens. We'd love to go back here next time we're in the area.

The campsites were beautiful and pristine, spacious and offered more privacy than most campgrounds we've visited. It was very quiet and actually peaceful - something I never imagined I'd write about any campground anywhere. That said, having no cell service or utilities, and this year's burn ban, might also have kept a lot of people away and drawn a quieter clientele. I would also caution that the tent platforms we saw weren't leveled and had lots of roots.

there were people in the camp having fires! even though they are banned. and people running around naked, like it's lord of the flies. or that tom hanks movie, where he is stranded on the island, and he has to get his tooth out. this park needs to be policed
