What Guests Are Saying
Bonaparte Lake Campground is a beautiful, well-maintained site in a remote area of NE Washington, offering great access to the lake for swimming, fishing, and boating. Campers appreciate the friendly hosts, clean facilities, and ample space at campsites, making it an ideal spot for family gatherings and outdoor activities. While some concerns were raised about noise from unruly campers and the distance to dumpsters, the overall experience is positive, with many planning to return.

From the moment we arrived at our campsite, #25 near the water, and were greeted by a mama duck and her 5 ducklings, the entire experience was delightful. What a beautiful place!

There were several unruly campers that the camp host did not enforce for all posted rules. (Noise ordinance meaning generators running all night long and dogs running all over in our camps and running in front of kids on bikes and causing them to crash.). There was a gentleman that came up from Trails and Rec. out of Tonasket and cleared a spot for our boat at our campsite. His name was Damien Ramon. This was very much appreciated!! We have been camping here just about every year for over 30 years and are enjoying making memories now with our grandkids. This trip was a little stressful because of other unruly campers. We love Bonaparte Lake!!!

Camp Hosts were fantastic! Bathrooms were always tidy and clean, and they were available for questions anytime you needed them! Will be back!

Nicely kept campsites, and restrooms. Host was nice and checked that all was well.

weather was windy and rainy but even that did not stop the great time we had.
Love hearing the loons, campground was quiet and peaceful and fill-in host
was good at cleaning bathrooms and keeping it stocked.

Great little campground. There is good access for fishing and a solid swimming area. Excellent place to get away for a weekend.

I’m leery of giving a great review because at the moment I feel the campground is a secret gem. We had an oversized site with no one in the adjacent sites. We had direct water access which was also secluded. The lake is perfect for SUP and kayaking. There’s a floating platform for swimming near the boat launch. The camp hosts were very friendly and helpful (someone was in our site upon our arrival). The only thing that was mildly unpleasant were the vault toilets but who spends too much time there?

Overall always a great experience here. Camp host only seen not heard. Trash Dumpster location not very well indicated and quite the hike from loop campsite. We understand the abuse by neighboring private cabins but it would be great if something more convenient could be located. Still well worth the trip!

A very quiet, peaceful and clean campsite. We came for a week to get away and recharge and that we did. The camp host was friendly. The boat ramp and lake was a very short walk from our site. We got to see several deer, rabbits, squirrels, ducks and other birds. There was no cell service and that's exactly what we wanted. A cup of coffee and reading a good novel by the campfire. We will be coming back and reserving this site again.
