For as nice a campground that it is there needs to have some of the sites worked on ours was so uneven that it was hard to level our camper so I can not recommend campground because of that also the grass needed to be cut

Nice campground for getting away. Was peaceful this time of year with school back in session less noise. Had a good visit at museum. Very historical-a must see for kids especially. Liked that they are selling t-shirts and sweatshirts which have Burnsville Lake and good sayings on them. Wish they had Bulltown Campground on them. Trip was delayed due to flooding and campground closed for 5 days but they refunded unused days closed and I received emails every day with updates. Was able to pick up days lost. Made me a happy camper!

Bulltown campground was closed when we arrived for our reservation. The gates were locked and there were no signs / explanations visible at the gate as to why it was closed. After driving eight hours and arriving in the early evening this was more than a little inconvenient. Apparently the closure was rain / flood related. An email was sent out earlier in the day, but after we had set out for the day. There was no cell service available in the Bulltown area to even start our enquiries as to why the campground was closed. A text message or call during our drive could have avoided this massive inconvenience.
