Head to Bulltown Campground to experience the scenery and historic significance of this central West Virginia region. The large campground is on the edge of Burnsville Lake, just beside the Bulltown Historic Area. This spot occupies the site of a Civil War battle, where reenactments of the historic event take place twice a year.

As a first time camper at Bulltown , I could not have been more delighted with our stay!! We had a great site, well managed showers and a special event for the kids at the pavilion! We will definitely be returning!!!

The bath house needs to have a better heating and cooling system. On hot and steamy days/nights if you take a shower and step out to the same air as outside it is not a good situation.

It would be a much better experience if check out was earlier, at the latest 2:00 p.m. That way campers could arrive earlier and set the campsites up before the sunsets. By the time you check in at 6:00, travelers are wore out and most always hungry and have to prepare something to eat as well as set up camp. I believe all campers would agree with me on this! Take a survey and see what the consensus is regarding check in/check out time.
