Very nice stay. Colors weren’t the best this year due to drought, but still good. It’s ridiculous that you close other loops during WV’s peak fall season. You could at least leave them open through end of October. You used to at least leave them open til end of September, but you still lose peak color time. Campground Loops E and D were pretty full. Hunters use campground at this time of year too. I can understand closing A and B as they are tent areas and tent campers don’t camp in colder weather.

Not knowing the campground and having no phone service we just picked a spot . It was FF .

Camp host is helpful. Sites are level and spacious. The full-hook up sites are not waterfront, but we could see the lake from our site. It was only a short walk to launch the kayaks.
