Great campsites. Guy who worked there was good people. We had our dogs and did not have any problems. A true gem

First time at Spruce Knob, but I'll be back. Campgrounds were nice, restrooms were the best I've seen at a campground!

Spruceknob Lake Campground has been our go to campground for years. As tent campers we enjoy the weather since, because of the altitude, it’s always about ten degrees cooler in the summer. The sites are spacious and private and for the past five years the campground hosts have kept the property well maintained. The proximity to many of the best hiking trails in the MNF is another attraction. Quiet time is mostly observed, and the hosts have been doing a good job of enforcing. The only reason we don’t give a five star rating is because there are no showers. However, campers are permitted to use the showers at Seneca Shadows Campground down the Mountain. There is no cell service, so if you want to unplug, as we do, this is the place.

This is a place I crave to be. It is peaceful and serene. I love the remote of it, and, most importanlty, there is no internet acess. I get a break from my phone and all the stresses that that device brings to me.

Wonder views, quiet place. Perfect for star gazing. It was raining, the site we camped at had a terrible flow of water running right into the tent pad, and another stream of water through the middle of the site. We had to dig a trench with sticks to keep our tent from sitting in a puddle of water.

Beautiful location with a spacious campsite. Bring your fishing poles and bait as the kids loved fishing on the far side of the lake. The lake is a great place to see the Milky Way on clear, moonless nights in summer. Overall rating would have been a 5 if not for the wet firewood we bought onsite. I recommend bringing your own.
