What Guests Are Saying
Gerald Freeman Campground is a beautiful and peaceful destination, well-loved for its family-friendly atmosphere, clean facilities, and scenic surroundings, including easy access to water for fishing and kayaking. Many campers appreciate the relaxed environment and friendly staff, making it a favorite spot for repeat visitors. However, there are some concerns about the maintenance of the grass and bathhouses, as well as the need for better Wi-Fi and more full hook-up sites.

The only thing I had an issue with was the bath houses were not kept very clean. Otherwise everything was great!

This is a great campground, lot’s of space between sites. The only bad thing is the 10 miles of nasty winding mountain road to get there.

we love gerald freeman been going there for years. its not the same camp ground that it used to be but thats because of lack of volunteer. i would love to be able to retire and help out my favorite campground. maybe one day me and my husband can become a camp host and get it back on track. but we still love it up there

This place was fantastic!! Super friendly staff. Easy in and out of site. Met some great campers. Didn’t try the food and ice cream at the Snack Shack but did purchase some firewood and staff there was super nice and helpful. Can’t wait to camp here again. Site #62 was a extremely nice site. Bathhouse right across from us.

Great place to camp. Only real issue is other campers making a mess of the restrooms and really just not cleaning up after themselves. The Corps employees were courteous and helpful.
