What Guests Are Saying
Gerald Freeman Campground is a beautiful and peaceful destination, well-loved for its family-friendly atmosphere, clean facilities, and scenic surroundings, including easy access to water for fishing and kayaking. Many campers appreciate the relaxed environment and friendly staff, making it a favorite spot for repeat visitors. However, there are some concerns about the maintenance of the grass and bathhouses, as well as the need for better Wi-Fi and more full hook-up sites.

Nice peaceful and quiet weekend. Enjoyed with friends. Large sites and accommodated our two dogs. Had full hookups but no cell phone service.

Nice sites, not to close to your neighbor. Close to the water.
Grass need mowed and no cell service.

Beautiful setting. We were at Black Bear 32 and it was relatively flat and spacious area. We arrived on a Wednesday in Sept and it was very quiet. As one would expect, Friday and Saturday it filled up but was still quiet at night. Would recommend. Clean and maintained.

My favorite campground by far. It’s peaceful and everyone I have seen there is super nice. I want to be the host there sooooo bad. Hopefully I can one day if I can afford to not work full. Time everyday.

Was able to get a camp site late Friday evening on Labor Day weekend. Camp site was large pull through with large concrete slab on the lake. The site only had electric but by using the nice and clean bathhouse our 4 day stay was great.
