Beautiful campground. Well kept up. Wish more of the lake sites were reservable. There was a guy doing annoying loon calls every time he paddled which disturbed the loons, but otherwise he was very peaceful

Nice and quiet and peaceful. Expect to hear the call of the loons. We've come here before and will come again.

Have been going there for over20 years. We have our family camping trip. There is now 14 of us. There is 4 families. Beach is always very nice. We love fishing and always catch enough for a good meal. Very clean

Great campground! It was nice to be able to reserve the site online with 2 pictures and a map. It was a bit difficult to find the campsite as there was no signal in the forest for the phone and Google Map tried to lead me on a dirt road that was not even drivable for ATVs. Perhaps give a warning on your website. The reserved site was clean, bench and fireplace in very good condition. The restroom was very clean - great job! The well was missing the handle so it was not working. Campers were nice enough not to run their annoying generators after 10pm. Sites were sufficiently far from each other. Plenty of loons, frogs and mosquitos. Just be aware that there will be no signal.
The two lakes right next to the camp are very clean. Butternut lake is also nice. Eagle River is the closest "civilization", 30min drive, a fairly small town.

It was pretty buggy on the Luna side during summer months. Other side of the watershed divide was amazing. Cool breezes. No matter where you stay in that park you will hear the loons morning noon and night. Great stay.

The campsites right on the lake have private access down to the water. The facilities were always clean and well stocked. We had no cell service for the four days that we were there, it was pretty lovely. We camped on Luna Lake and there is a 2 mile trail that encircles it, our dog loved it. There is also a longer, 16 mile trail around the Hidden Lakes that was perfect for a trail run. Highly recommend. This place is such a gem. Well worth the long drive from Chicago.

Continue with split of first come first serve and reservations. Perfect “forest bathing”
Can’t wait to get back up there.
Maintenance man is doing way too much. He needs help and funds.
