What Guests Are Saying
Luna White Deer Campground offers spacious, clean sites with a serene atmosphere, making it a favorite for families and nature lovers alike. The campground features beautiful hiking trails and a peaceful lake ideal for kayaking and swimming, though it can get crowded during peak times. Some visitors noted limited amenities and challenges finding firewood, but overall, the campground is highly regarded for its natural beauty and the quality of experiences it provides.

This year there is a CG host at # 33. Very helpful. If you show up with out a reserved site be careful to choose one that is not marked as reservable , other wise you could get bumped if some one reserves it on line while you are occupying it

We've been camping in site 14 for a lot of years and were really looking forward to our weekend. We were surprised how little privacy the site has now that so many trees have been cleared around the perimeter. There were a lot of kids in the site next to us and our dog could clearly see every move they made and he wanted to join their fun. Unfortunately, visibility made it felt like a state park campsite and not the national forest we know and love.

We loved our stay! White Deer Lake has better lake-view sites (compared to Luna) but it was quiet, the lake is beautiful. Highly recommend.

We were there for 11 days and the bathrooms were only cleaned twice. People asked about the host as she only was there during the day twice and only spent 1 night.

The site, Nr. 34, was well worth the long drive to get there. Huge, level, set in pines, neighbors barely visible, a private path down to the lake, outdoor privy that did not smell and absolute quiet. Our path connected to a path next to the lake, which fascinated my four-year old granddaughter with discoveries every step. First time to see mushrooms. Should have planned to stay longer.

Spacious campsite, fantastic location lakeside. I was literally 20 yards from a fun little fishing hole where I caught a dozen panfish in a couple of hours. Also loved the hiking trail that started right at my site and took me around WhiteDeer Lake.

The area is nice and secluded. Great place to bring your family. Just remember to grab everything you may need before going as it's a long haul to get supplies.
