What Guests Are Saying
Spearhead Point is a beautiful, quiet campground ideal for tent campers, offering spacious sites and access to kayaking and fishing. Many visitors appreciate the well-maintained facilities and the natural surroundings, making it a favorite spot for family outings. While some amenities like flush toilets and showers are lacking, and staffing issues have been noted, the overall experience is positive, with a strong sense of community among campers.

Very quiet campsite, and clean campsite. During the fall, the leaves are amazing. Would definitely go back.

The weather was cool, but the leaves were beautiful. Gorgeous setting.
Enjoyed having a private dock for my coffee : ) and kayak -- but note, it is down a flight of stairs. (I used a long rope to ease my kayak down and haul it back up, which worked out great for my recreation boat.)

Campground and bathrooms clean. Hosts are friendly. Our favorite place to hop off the grid and leave the rat race behind.

This is a quiet get-away -- possibly the quietest campground I have ever been in (save for the second night when some loud-voiced yahoos partied at the site diagonally from me). The sites are beautiful and very private.
My only two minor qualms:
- Although swimming is listed as an amenity, I could not find said swimming area which would have been nice given the lack of showers. But no biggie if you're prepared for it.
- This site is such a well-kept secret that you should not expect any signs to lead you there from the road. The Forest Service road sign that the directions indicate you to use is very small so you have to be on the lookout for it. No cell service out there so don't depend on your phone maps program to get you there. Fortunately, it is listed on Wisconsin state maps so you can go back to the old way of finding places that way (though the forest road you need is not shown so follow the instructions in the email you get). I
The directional issue is probably what saves this campground from being overrun by noisy visitors, though. So that might be a bonus and not a negative.
