What Guests Are Saying
Spearhead Point is a beautiful, quiet campground ideal for tent campers, offering spacious sites and access to kayaking and fishing. Many visitors appreciate the well-maintained facilities and the natural surroundings, making it a favorite spot for family outings. While some amenities like flush toilets and showers are lacking, and staffing issues have been noted, the overall experience is positive, with a strong sense of community among campers.

Our family has been camping here for forty years now. We generally know what to expect and look forward to a couple visits each year. The outhouse is the cleanest of any campground that we've ever visited and the easy access to fresh water is great!
The only drawback is the same issue that campers have dealt with for years - generators. People drag generators to these peaceful campgrounds and make so much noise that many campers find it difficult to relax. The endless droning is terrible, plain & simple. We watched a man in the site next to us get told to turn down the volume on his radio, while the site next to him had a generator that was easily three times louder than his music...just crazy.

We had a great time at this sweet FS campground. There were very few people in the campground which always makes it more enjoyable. The only issue was the vet full smelly garbage dumpsters. It would have been nice to have a camp host that was actually there.

I stayed at Site 13 and it was probably the 'least nice' exterior site in the CG and it was still amazing. All sites along the exterior/flowage have a private pier! This is a paddlers dream campground. Roomy, mostly private, sites, all with good proximity to restrooms. No showers here; it's rustic, but the bathrooms were very clean and did not have an odor issue as I was there in October.

Hidden gem. Had a little trouble finding it, but was definitley worth it once we got there. Very spacious campsites and relatively private. Almost every campsite having its own dock is a huge bonus also.

Beautiful campground in the fall. Lake access was great to have and the swing top firepit was very helpful for warmth and cooking.
