Facility was very well maintained and very clean. Restrooms in very good order and hot showers wonderful. A floor fan was going to keep the expected water from showers reasonably dry. Each site clearly marked and the surface compacted and level. Kids would love the upgraded playground equipment. I would stay here again!

We love camping here. This was the first time in the Spring before the trees budded. We could actually see water. The bathrooms were open and clean.

Sites were nice and large, long driveways in most. Bathrooms/ showers were kept clean. Only wish if I have to pick up after my dog, horseback riders should have to clean up after their horses on the trails.

A HIDDEN GEM! Secluded and quiet. We camped Tuesday to Thursday in mid May. The weather was beautiful even though a storm passed through in the night. Some of the sites are on hillsides, but are mostly level. Lots of trees and space between sites. The town of Spring Valley is only about 5 miles if you forget something. The reservoir is beautiful. Trails are rustic but nice. We saw black squirrels and deer. It was a very quiet get away in the middle of the week. We will definitely be back to Highland Ridge Campground.

None of the trees had leaves yet so there wasn't much privacy but once the tree bloom I am betting most site can't see each other. There is a building with hot showers and bathrooms. The site was pretty level and had a fire pit and picnic table. I would stay here again.

Campsites are built into the slopes of a forest providing deep shade but also a favorable environment for mosquitoes. Many of the sites on the right side of the street have a significant slope with a drop-off at the back. Our site, on the inside of the loop was fairly level and deep. The campground is well away from busy highways and railroads so evenings are very quiet. Sites are electric hookup only.
Restrooms are clean and spacious but be aware the lights are on a motion-detector timer so if you happen to be there alone, be quick in the shower. Speaking from experience, waving your towel in the air is not sufficient to reset the timer. There are multiple water spigots to fill jugs and water bottles are available around the campground as well as fresh water and rinse water spigots, with threaded connections, at the dump station.
Walking trails are accessible from the campground but access to the swimming area in the day-use area a short drive away. A day-use area pass is provided by the friendly and informative campground hosts or park rangers. We would stay again if our travels bring us back to the area.

Nice cool weekend for camping. Most campsites were full but hardly saw anyone. Nice bathrooms with showers. Plenty of downed wood to collect for bonfires.

I love this campground. Large campsites, clean modern restrooms, hiking trails.
